Yeah uhm...
For the past 30 minutes I've repetively suddenly gotten red-lag out of nowhere and immediately crash...
Finally I get a message from a CONSOLE that tells me that I am about to be kicked in 120 s, and that my Lag > 60 ms...
Seeing as it was from a Green Message I thought "Whos the little weasel impersonating the Console..."
So I press Y and look but there is no CONSOLE player or is there a departing message...
Is FLHook going nuts again and kicking people?

No no no no. Hoodlum just said it was some software test. Disco will never limit one's ping I think.

Actually, high ping is not that big of a problem. Unless it's 500ms or over 1000ms = combat impossible.
The bigger problem is high loss. Simply, if you're downloading something and some of the packets don't get through one of the routers on the way.
Try connecting to Hamburg City server and experiment with downloading stuff. You will, most likely, be kicked out very, very fast.
Now if someone is using a really bad connection, he/she can have pings of 3000ms, even. THat's bloody three seconds! Really, even if the server allows you to keep your connection ... you can't really enjoy playing.

Yah umm i had to proof to one of the admins i was not speed modding cause of my lag the anti cheat
was constantly picking me up but this was a few days ago. Never use wireless ]=-/

Well not too long I think. How much does internet cost in Canada anyways? Transformed to euros, you can get a decent connection with unlimited traffic for around 20 euro/month.
