Halo Wars upcoming release - Fletcher - 01-28-2009
Today I walked into the Game shop I used to work and and thought, I got very few games, I just got my pay, lets get a game or two.
In the end I bought Gears of War 2 and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. I also noticed the sign that Halo Wars will be out next month, so I thought hmm. I wonder how much that would be. I asked Dan the manager on the floor whom I get along with well, and he said "should be between 39.99 to 44.99 I can't see it being more than that. You wanna preorder?"
"Hmm, I was thinking about it, how much would it be? fiver or a tenner?"
"Oh you'll get the preorder for free, not to mention the 30% discount that Pete (the boss) still lets you have"
"Oh sweet, put my name down then"
"Oh have one of the display tins while your at it, we got an overstock"
So, I inadvertently preordered Halo Wars Limited Edition pack. It will have the Mythic pack and other goodies that I am looking forward to.
I know that RTS games on consoles are fiddly, I played Red Alert 3 on it, it was awkward. But I love the Halo series, I wouldn't say I'm a fanboy, but I enjoy the series and lore.
Anyone else going to get this game?;)

I was such a Halo addict when I played X-box.
Even burrowed someones X-box to play the latest Halo.
I've beaten all of them on Legendary as a Solo player.
Some thought it was impossible, but it isn't, just frustrating respawning back at the checkpoint.
If I still had access to an X-box I would join that war, it's in the multiplayer where my Halo skills shine.

Yea ODST sounds like a cool game. Except I cant play it; PC FTW! Don't want an Xbox.
Kinda frustrating that Halo 3 is gonna take FORVER to come out on PC though... :dry:

Yeah, I just have the old Xbox, which I only got this summer at Goodwill cuz it was dirt cheap. I'll definitely need a new computer to run Halo 3.
