I've made a little "merchant calculator". You can download it and use it if you want to.
Features:
-For travelling merchants who buys stuff on a planet and sells it on another one; I've made a profit calculator (bottom one).
-For transporters who are buying stuff from miners then sell it; I've made a more complex calculator (top one).
