The New Zoner Alliance was re-founded in early 825 by wealthy independent backer Tyrone Dawson and Co. to fight against their perceived oppressors in Liberty. They are the direct continuation of the Zoner parmailitaries involved in the infamous Omicron Kappa incident of 819 to 820 AS, specialising in indiscriminate, apolitical defence of Zoner colonial efforts across the sector. They are paramilitaries of conscience, who operate for free.
When the Alster Union and their cohorts questioned the splintering Confederation of Freeports about the presence of an Aquilon in Bering, they were instead greeted with a resurgent Zoner Alliance, hell-bent on purging their "baleful influence" on Freeport 2, styled by its current residents as "New Providence".

This is being done entirely in good faith, it's designed as a means of fulfilling an RP niche that was devved into the mod, but has no usable outlet. There already is lore, there already is extensive multi-faction RP. The people behind it are straight-shooting RPers. All it needs is an ID that can be used with the Tarrafal's intended purpose - to shoot unlawfuls/anyone who would get in the way of a Zoner recovery of Freeport 2.
The name is only funny or a "meme" to people who were around in 2013. Besides, a Marine is a soldier that fights from a Ship. It fits the bill. The ID as requested is not a ZA specific ID, either; it's to allow Tarrafal events.

That's the thing, it's not a joke. We're going to do a bunch of freeform PVP and RP events to see if the Zoners do, or don't, retake Freeport 2.

Lyth doesn't blame your idea at all, tho even I had to lol when I saw that name. Pick different name and instead of "Zoner Marine" ID it would be nice to see something less meme appearing. Like "Zoner Militia" or something.

The "it's done in good faith" part would be a lot more plausible if an old and bad meme would have not been used up for that. Coming forward to represent the Zoner side of the events around Bering, Freeport 2 and the Tarrafal can be done without referring to a group of noRP lolzoners from years ago, this way it's just not credible enough, and the choice is counterproductive. That you try to defend the case with weak arguements isn't helping much either.
