In this day and age, I'd say no. We need them for the war, getting enough trust and cash to do this now would be very, very hard.

HOWEVER, You can use Bretonian weapons on zoner ships since they're sold on Gran Canaria, and one could think they would sell them to you for higher prices to help support the war perhaps. Even the Great Jinx has them on her Juggernaut...

You've still got to watch what weapons you mount on your ships, though - just because it's sold at Gran Canaria it can still be OoRP.
Just ask the two guys I ran into tonight - that had Order and Corsair turrets on a brand new BH DD and a CA. :nono::rtfm: After a firm couple of comments - something to the effect of what the hell are you thinking - they changed them.
