What will the ZOI for Kusary Navy be in 4.85 for

-bombers/fighters

-Transports

-Gunboats/Cruisers/Battleships

I would like to believe all Navy ships have the same ZOI but i might be wrong with the new Guard ID and IFF rules.

Not sure about the Guard ID restrictions, but general KNF ZoI will include;

New Tokyo
Honshu
Kyushu
Shikoku
Hokkaido
Oita
Okinawa
Nagano
Sigma-19 (limited)
Tau-29
Tau-31
Leeds

And the rest of Bretonia if launching a raid against them. I may be missing one or two systems there.

Ive also seen Kusari navy NPCs in Chugoku, does that count?

+ rules of raids against bretonia. Does it have to be official or can we just roam around shooting stations and orbital defenses?

From KNF Faction status.
I would suspect some little changes in 4.85 on the "southwest" front due to war progress, but in what direction...we will discover that.

Quote:...............
Stellar Cartography
...............

Home system: Hiroshima.
While the Emperor resides in his castle on New Tokyo, his guardians watch over the Blue Lagoon from Hiroshima-having Honshu and New Tokyo both within arms' reach..
Being a high security military restricted system Hiroshima is heavily defended by Naval Forces Guards and is considered inviolable space to all except Naval Forces,
Samura Industries, State Police and Kishiro Technologies vessels.
It is known the High Command rarely granted this privilege, providing a license, even to some civillian vessels under particular circumstances.

Zone of Influence
KNF projects itself across Kusari-From Honshu to Tau-31 and from Hokkaido to Kepler, Galileo and Sigma-13 (there only staying within range of the jump gate).
In the western front the furthest KNF base is the Battleship Nagumo in Kyushu, however due to Imperial reaction to defend from the agressive Bretonian Armed Forces, the Kusari Naval Forces Battleship Nagasaki has been deployed near Holman Outpost in Tau-31.
From this forward base the KNF ensure the Taus remain the fertile garden of Kusari that it always has been.
Outcasts and Bretonians are dispatched with much zeal by our brave warriors in these sectors.

Expeditionary interests
War supply routes take Naval forces abroad through the Bretonian border worlds to Omega-49. The revolutionary scum residing in Chugoku can expect visits from the KNF as a matter of course. Tau-23 will also remain on the Emperors agenda, where the KNF strike at the BMM base there.
Anywhere there is Bretonian shipping interest, the KNF will disrupt it.

I dont believe in restrictive ZOI's.

I think, as far as the ID is concerned, any systems completely within kusari space (new tokyo, hokkaido, shikoku, honshu, kyushu, etc.) apply, for purposes of demanding cargo and such.

However, I'm of the mind that if you have an RP reason to be somewhere, there is no restriction for going there. Of course, a Kusari ship probably wouldnt be able to get into new london with all the BAF in leeds and tau 31, but what of diplomatic missions into liberty? rheinland? Surely the admins wouldnt try to restrict such RP opportunity.

Take the Order Guard ID in 4.85 for example, it says "Can engage pirates, terrorists, and lawfuls within their zone of influence" - I consider the Order's Zone of influence to be omicron minor, omicron major, omicron 100, omicron delta, and alaska - basically anywhere that the order has NPC ships. However, I dont see this as preventing me from going to say... newcastle, to check out the nomad structure there. I just see it as meaning I cant openly attack enemies outside those listed systems, but rather my engagements would have to be in self defense only.

That also, IMO, only applies to factions which are not listed as enemies. If I go out to say... omega 11, and I see a red hessian - I cannot attack, because I'm outside my ZOI and hessians are not listed as an enemy of the order. However, if I see a wild ship in the same system, I could go ahead and attack because they are listed as my enemy.

Complicated eh? =P

I agree with Tenacity here. Roleplaying and ZoIs are dynamic, and he covered just about anything I would say to argue it.

However, on a regular basis, wherever your NPCs are is a good guideline...
