To: Kusari GovernmentColorado, Republic of Liberty 25. September 825 A.S. Priority: Normal Topic: Z-Line Transports Message Contents: Good day, honoured representatives of the Kusari Goverment,
My name is John Riley and I serve as the Guildmaster for the Octavarium Mercantile Guild. According to the Kusari Legal Codex §5-5, merchant captains operating Z-8500 Bullmastiff-class Transports and Z-8550 Pitbull-class Cargo Trains are not currently permitted within Kusari space. I understand that the purpose behind this prohibition is because many of those operating these ships are affiliated with the Empire's enemies, or are engaged in some sort of behaviour that the Empire finds unacceptable. As Natio Octavarium is not engaged in any action against the Empire's interests, nor are we in the business of smuggling contraband through your space, we would like to negotiate an exception to §5-5 for those two ship classes. A number of Captains who belong to the Guild operate these ships due to their robust and easily maintained construction. In short, they're well suited for the dangerous systems in which we're often forced to operate. I can understand any reservations you might have on this matter, and I'm hoping that I can answer any questions or concerns you might have.
