Douglas Hitame - Dartes - 11-02-2018

Personal biohraphy of Douglas Hitame

Douglas Hitame, a strange name right?
That's due to my origins, I'm half Kusarian, half Libertonian, repsectively my father was Kusarian and my mother was Libertonian.
I was born on 798 A.S., on Camp Lister, in Coronado system. A very small and cold mining site, where my father was working.
There aren't a lot of people there, but we know eachother; everybody is friends with everybody, no-one hates anobody.
My mother was in the Security task force there while my father was a miner/transporter of various ores al across the Sirius Sector.
Since there weren't any schools, I was sent on Planet Yuma to study and most of the time I spent it at my uncle's house there.
He was a retired IMG Battlecruiser Captain.
First months there were pretty hard since I was a foreign there, so usually the other children at beggining were avoiding me.
But there was this one boy, called Michal , which helped me going through those hard times. He was one of the first which tried to be friend with me, by helping me in class and playing with me in the afternoon.
Since that age, what my father did never interested me because I found it boring so that's why my uncle always told me a lot of adventures he was part of with his crew.
My childhood was more or less parentless since they both worked far from us,so I was seeing them only once or twice a month.
At age of 11 is when the first tragedy happened: my father was shot down.
He was transporting Gold Ore from Dublin System to New Berlin System when a group of Kruger fighters stopped him in Omega-7 and forced him to drop the cargo.
He refused to comply and fought aside his escort and none of them make it alive. It was so hard for me to hear that even at the time I didn't know pretty much stuff about fights and ships.
This tragedy pushed me to be part of the IMG security and study flight and combat on Yuma.
Few years later, another tragedy happened. My mother died on duty.
She was patroling the Tau-23 system when 4 Nazione Maltese ships ambushed her and her partner. Logs say that before they got shot down they gave hard time to NM ships and by the time reinforcements arrived from the base, it was too late.
With this tragedy I sworn to destroy any Outcast and Kruger ships I find in my way to seek revange.
At age of 18 I graduated flight school with highet grade in my class, so they give me a choice if I wanted to join Crayterian Military or IMG secrity force.
I've chosen the IMG.
In the mean time, during this years me and Michal became really tight friends. He was always there for me when all those tragedies happened to me, always tried to cheer me up.
He, graduated Science school while I did Flight school. His main field is Nomad technology,so right now I don't even know where he could be. We, after the graduation lost contact due our jobs so there have beens some years I didn't hear from him.
After graduating Flight school, I was sent to Singapore Shipyard where I got my first ship, a Very Heavy Fighter class Vessel, called
"Lthose".
I was sent to escort transports in and out dangerous Systems, like Omega-3 or Omega-7.
Lukily no transport was harmed when I was their escort.
So due to my eccelent jobs done, they rewarded me with the command of a crew of a Gumboat class ship called "Gasherbrum",used mostly as an anti-fighters platform.
With it I destroyed a lot of ships belonging to hostile factions.
But once something went bad. I was in Tau-31 system my ship and my fighter escort got ambushed by some Maltese Navy ships, a Cruiser class
"Storta" and 2 fighters. After a very long fight, my ship was nearly destroyed but the reinforcements arrived so I set course to the Cruiser and
started the autodestruction sequence so when it collided the ship would have been exploded while my crew evacuated the ship in the escape pods.
My crew and my escape pods were tractored by a battletransport and we were escorted back to Jakarta Orbital Colony, where I returned to my duties
in a "Lthose".
For my 25th birthday, my uncle as a gift for me, requested the High Command to give me his old ship that wasn't used since his retirement and was parked on Singapore Shipyard, the Battlecruiser class vessel "Sagarmatha"
codenamed "-Breaker-".
It's one of the few ships of its class around.
Somehow, he convinced them to give me that ship, and after repairs and adjustments, I got full access at it with a research facility on it, to study
new fields and the ship is fully armed to deal with any kind of threats.
My duty was to keep peace along IMG systems, when, I had a big fight with the High Command where they didn't want me to have contacts with
nobody execpt them since the location of the ship was secret so could have been compromised.
This fought began when I received news that my uncle was in the hospital after a heart attack, and he was in very bad conditions, so
I wanted to at least talk to him. But High command negated it to me, so I went against the orders and went back to Planet Yuma undercovered to visit him.
His last words to me were "Remember Doug, I was always proud of you and I know that your parents would be aswell" and then he died...
That's when I realised I was the only one left in my familiy.
After this, I got out of Coronado.
I always keep moving, never be in the same spot, hoping that I don't have to deal with High Command anymore.
Me and my crew became a big family, and when I decided to make the choice of going against the orders, they all supported me till this moment.
We'll see where our adventure will bring us.

Capitan Douglas Hitame's log

Not even long time after being in the Omegas, I've encountered different types of people.
I was in Omega-49 system when I encountered this transport and this freighter, and they were part of this strange religious movement, their organization name was...Temporary Autonomous Zoners.
Their story was pretty fascinating..they believe and chaos and disorder, not like everyone else in peace and prosperity.
I must say I was shocked in about what they belive..like they live in their own world...
Maybe I should contact them somehow, in order to continue our discussion.

After meeting the TAZ people, I had the pleasure to meet a Coalition Military Commissar-Major, by how he presented himself.
He was a Coalition high ranked memeber, but with Gallic origins!
And I thought my origins were strange, but looking at that guy I thought that everything is possible in the Sirius Sector.
He found my idea of fining peace a bit...impossible.
I'm really hoping to see him, and that he says me that story he started talking about.
Capt.Douglas Hitame out.

Capitan Douglas Hitame's log

Last few days were pretty busy.
Two days ago, I was on Planet Gran Canaria where I received a rumor that there was happening something in the deep Omicrons, some system called Omicron Delta.
The guy gave me the path to follow till this freeport, Freeport 11.
I had to get through Omicron Gamma, rumored to be Corsair's home system so I had to stay sharp and be ready for any approaching capital ship.
I had to fly far from any planets in the system, till I was covered by the clouds so I could avoid any contact.
From there I jumped to some system called Omicron Kappa. That's a very strange system by what I had the chance to see.
There were some kind of drones patroling the area near a Planet, but I didn't have the chance to explore it more.
Those Omicrons are filled with surprises...
Then I finally managed to get to this Omicron Delta system...it seems like a warzone...
The first thing I've encountered in this system were some organic ships...I've heard about those but I thought they were only a myth..they call them the Nomands...
Their ships were fascinating, like a flying body...
After seeing those ships and trying to have a better look in it (with a failed attempt) I found the Freeport 11 and docked there.
On the base I found a guy, which said to contact this faction...Apostatas because they could know more on what was happening.
After contacting them, we met at the Freeport.
Meanwhile the wait, I've met a Coalition Carrier Class vessel "Tempest", which I didn't even know it existed. I later discover that they were working togheter, the Coalition and the Apostatas.
They explained me, not very detailed, who were they and where were they going.
So I joined them by myself into trying to know what was happening inthere so we went to Omicron Lost...those names are so dark and lifeless like something dead...
When we got there they explained me what was going on and what was all that about:Iridium Ore.
In the process I've met a Figher Class vessel of the Order and some other transports.
Along with a Zoner for a few moments.

This is a very unique ore, with very unique structure and I've been busy studying it.
When I came back from that "Exploration", shortly something happened : A NEMP nuclear warhead has hit the Freeport 11.
My luck was that I wasn't on the base, even if it seems still in once piece for the moment.
I really hope that nobody's hurt...

I really hope to meet again this General..maybe we'll finish our talk at a drink in this system called Omicron Theta...I'm really new in the Edge worlds so I get lost pretty quick, hopefully somebody could indicate me the way for it.
As for the doctor on the carrier, maybe I'll contact him to know more about this Iridium Ore.

For now,
Capt.Hitame out.

Capitan Douglas Hitame's log:Entry 3

I just woke up...
I didn't know where I am...
When I turned my head on the left side I saw one of my crewman that is sitting on a chair and working with some paperwork.
Few seconds later I asked him:
-What's going on? Where am I?
And he gently replied to me:
-You are on Corinth Research Station,Captain. When you passed out we went to the closest station for this medical emergency. It's two days we've been here, sir.
Two days? I've been like this for two days?
All I remember is me having those strange images, of many ships...they were everywhere...
Maybe it was my immagination, I don't know, I shall ask the doctor.
Then I asked the crewman to ask the doctor to come here because I wanted to ask him what happened with me.
The doctor came in and I explained him everything that happened.
He said that, according to the analysis, everything happened because of the lack of sleep and because of the too much stress I've been under those few weeks.
He also said that I was free to go, and to try to rest more.
I thanked him and went back on my ship.
She was in perfect state, few repairs were made while I was "sleeping" so she's ready to go and roll again.
All this made me more curious about those Nomads and how they work...
And I hope I don't encouter the Osiris Battleship Class Vessel I've met before I passed out... it's captain was a bit rude... and very easytrigger...

Capitan Douglas Hitame's log:Entry 3

One month since last recording...
Me and my crew got very lucky...almost everyone has survived...
We were patroling in the Omicron Kappa system when a Ion storm has hit us. Explosions were everywhere on the ship so we started evacuating.
Some of them didn't make it till the hangar where a Pelican Armored Transport vessel was waiting for everyone to get board of it and evacuate.
Me and my second in command were the last to leave in an attempt to save the ship which failed.
We used my own Nanda Devi Bomber Class Vessel to leave the ship.
Our sensors showed that we were really far from any human establishment so we had to be ready for a long voyage.
Days passed, and our rations are starting to run low.
Everyday I went on the transport to see how everyone was doing, the 76 survivors. We lost 24 crewman that day; we couldn't even give them a proper funeral...they may rest in peace...
Losing my ship really tore me apart, because that ship was really important to me but I don't know what actually happen since it's not the first ion storm we encounter;when everything settles down I'll check with my Chief Engineer.
Our luck was to get back on Corinth Research Station before we ran out of oxygen.
My crew at the moment is resting as I should do, but I can't.
I have to get the work starting.
