Vista Server Problems - WaRgYsLoGiC - 03-04-2009
Like some other unlucky people i've tried everything with vista to log onto your server,, nothing has worked,, im about to setup a duel boot system since noone with XP seems tobe having these problems,

long story short,, no, done everything everyone has said on here, fresh install of vista,, duelboot with xp and vista , did one with just xp alone,, and still no, guess im just one of the many people who wont be enjoyin this mod :s , the problem must be serverside, since i can see and log onto everyother server for many diffrent mods,

Just uninstall any internet anti-vrus programs you have.
Thats what i did
and it worked perfectly
Freelancer seems to have problems with certain anti-virus programs e.g. norton, macaphee, AVG

What type of Vista do you have? Since on my home premium (32-bit) I have no problems at all (but then I almost never have problems with Vista, odd, I know).
As Montezuma said, must be your firewall/ anti-virus
You can also try to run FL in windows xp sp2 compatibility mode, solves some issues I had with other games.

Go XP with no virus software. That's what I went with, put in a new HDD and installed Windows 64 bit on it. When ever I want to swap back to Vista I simply go in my BIOS and swap the boot order.

just finshed tryin that also,, and nope lol.. its only this server tho.. i can log onto any other server using this mod no problems, guess i'll just start using the berlin or rp usa one for this mod,, shame tho since this one has the most people online,

ok just checked the other servers and they are quite dead lol, so the main server is the only way it would be worth while playin this mod,, i've tried everything tho and no luck :s
