Royalists vs Council - Grimly - 03-12-2009
Well, I was looking at the commodities with my trader when I saw the holo bands (sold in Dijon for best routes) ...
The description says we can give some kinds of pleasure with it, but control the mind too.
So I had in mind ... Are that bands made by the gallia king to keep his place on gallia monarchy lead ?
It would also be treated as smuggling and destroy on sight for the council + allies, and for now, only them (the rest of sirius don't know about it, let it be a present from the IDF royalists).
I'd like a word from Igiss about how the inner gallia war came exactly ...
I know the independence is a good enough reason but that would lead to the complete revolution and the lot of poor people (villeins, serfs) would be in council against the low amount of rights holders (lords, vassals). And here, that war would ever not be long since the council have the number AND the tech.

Here's the basic gist of it:
-The gallia royalists have been pissed off at the other groups of the alliance for like 800 years now. Due to some form of treachery before the sleeper ships were constructed, the 'french' were forced to build their own sleeper ship(s) in secret, and did not launch at the same time as the rheinland, hispania, bretonia, kusari, or liberty did.
-That hatred for the other houses of Sirius has been handed down through the generations of Gallia rulers, up to the current king - who wants to wage a full scale war against the four houses of sirius and overthrow them.
-The council was originally created during the first gallic civil war - back then, they were a political seperatist group, not an armed organization. They tried to argue with the government, attempting to get the point across that the citizens of gallia are 'brothers/sisters' to the citizens of the other sirius houses, and that they should seek peace instead of war with the four established houses.
-During the first civil war, after these political resistance movements were put down by the crown, the council - along with a more extremist group known as the maquis - started fighting the gallic government through military means.
-The first war was won by the crown, as the council did not have the manpower or firepower to win a full on assault against the gallic royal navy. Now, hundreds of years later, the second war is brewing - as the council now has access to a large portion of ships and pilots.
So, the agendas of the two sides:
Gallic Royalists (the crown): Destroy the council 'traitors' and wage war against sirius.
Gallic Seperatists (the council): Stop the royalists from invading sirius, and hopefully convince the king that gallia should ally with the sirius houses.

The second war is brewing? I thought the second war is being fought right now, hence the massive amount of military ships in Gallia. Also the council dont just want Gallia to be friendly with Sirius, they want to overthrow the king and create a republican or democratic government.

that too, and yes, I said the war is already ongoing. This war started shortly before the council managed to break through the minefield and open the path to sirius.

Actually, the war has being going on for 33 years, ever since the revolution on marne.

Well, that don't help that much ...
The crown have still a lot of people following him (with that lot of battleships I'm not sure only 10 people are in). I'm asking myself how it could be ...
That holo bands are sold also in a Council (Macon if I'm right, I have to check it) so I'd like to know if what I supposed was right or not.
The problem I talk about here is not really on the diplomatic side but the demographic side.
This is a non-sense for the rightless gallians to stay quiet when the council is claiming about the revolution. I mean it's much more easier to hide the Alaska from Libertonians.
An other supposition would be the crown is using slaves but as far I know, there is no opportunity to get profits from this market.
