BREAKING NEWS: Election called in Rheinland! Referendum on Kanzler passes! - Claussen - 03-03-2020
![]() Sent on behalf, and dictated by, his excellency, Herr VonClaussen of the Sternenseegarten, Östlichedornberge, Planet Hamburg. Reviewed by the pressers and communications team of the #Linus827 campaign. Communications do not constitute policy declarations unless stated by Linus VonClaussen or a representative of the VonClaussen policy team. Linus straightens his tie, reclining with the comfort of a groomed and immaculate statesman of the old guard. In the well-appointed and opulent Emerald drawing-room of the Sternenseegarten, Claussen was, quite evidently, in his element. He was the centrepiece of the room, flanked on all sides with holoprojectors.
"Good afternoon - for it is a stellar afternoon over the südwestliche Kontinentalplatte, is it not? For those joining us in space or elsewhere, may your travels be prosperous and productive."
"Men and women of our beloved Rheinland, and to my fellow members of the Rheinland Federal Diet;
May you be courageous in difficult times." "Gentlemen. My fellow statesmen. My countrymen." "As appointed servants of the people through our placement within the Bundestag, by the electorate, we have a duty of care to our populations. Amongst the litany of our services is the mantle of obligation to accurately inform the populace, and the fifth estate - the media, as to our internal workings. The power of the people withers in a lack of transparency. " "Therefore, I must reveal - as the Libertonians might say 'Blow the Whistle' - on a troubling and malcontentious act that has been made by the majority party that holds the Bundestag, the people of Rheinland, and our image before the varied houses - hostage to intransparent machinations. I am quite certain I will be denounced by my peers within the prevailing party - nevertheless, the electorate must stand upon its own determinations." "Attached to my transmission is the following file. It is a letter of accusation by the Minister for Foreign Affairs Hans Averbach-Schmitz, of the reigning Federal Summative Party, to the Bretonian Government. He declares the government of Bretonia to be acting in violation of the Treaty of Snowdon, a document ruled into the legislature eight years ago. As of one year ago, the Treaty of Snowdon was internationally declared quidquid voverat atque promiserat - Null and void. Replaced, by a revitalised document of peace within the Omega systems." "Why, some will be asking, has this declaration been made?" "In short, it is a pretense of provocation. The treaty was rendered void by the newfound resolution to the Aland crisis - an incident that entangled Rheinlandic corporate interests in a shameful cabal with Red Hessians. A folly that was widely documented and televised. The claim upheld by the FSP and my collegues within the halls of the Neumann administration, ministers towards a revisionist history. The IMG themselves no longer uphold Snowdon. Why, may you state, is this rhetoric deployed under the flag of the Republic? One so uncaring in its detailing as to describe the Bretonian territory of "Nottingham" as "The Snowdon System"." "Why indeed?" "I address this open letter to my peers in the Bundestag." Open letter to the Luisa Neumann Administration Wrote:My constituents are concerned, Sir. House Chancellor Neumann was appointed by this office upon a platform of respectability, peace, and international tolerance. It was expected that she would grow the economy without draconian, or hawkish adventurism. That the growth of Rheinland industry – the employers of our citizens – and the rights of said citizenry, would develop even-handedly! That there would a future beyond the cloying pervasion of the Libertonian war, and that interhouse politics would not trouble our populations any longer. The Campaign of Linus Von Claussen notifies the Chancellor that an investigation into corruption within the halls of goverment will be sponsored by the Hamburg Chancellory. The party calls for a refferendum, held by the public, into the powers of the Chancellor. ![]() "There is a statement upheld by one of the Rheinland's pre-eminent pre-Sirian philosophers. I maintain that his insights into human nature may be of use to deciphering the mechanism of government: "There is nothing more necessary than truth, and in comparison with it everything else has only secondary value. This absolute will to truth: what is it? Is it the will to not allow ourselves to be deceived? Is it the will not to deceive? One does not want to be deceived, under the supposition that it is injurious, dangerous, or fatal to be deceived. " "I understand that my actions may come at some political expense to myself. I will have made enemies within the Bundestag today. This is why I choose to allow my decisions and the rationale that sits behind them to stand on their own before the electorate, and the people of the Rheinland." "To the people, I can only ask for your continued support, and that you support one another. Your entire government has not abandoned you. There will, one day soon, be a return to dignity, order, and above all else - truth. " "Now that, I can promise. I hope you will join me in our campaign to turn the historical wrongs of the Republic, into a history of triumphs. Our nation, our peoples, our flag, and our principles, deserve nothing less. All else is but a hollow imitation. " "Thank you for your time - I will concede to our broadcasters." With civillity and respect, I remain your servant;

Guten Tag, Herr von Claussen. Let me introduce myself. I am Konteradmiral Gerwald Klaus, captain of the RWK Prinz Eugen and formerly the commander of the Rheingau. Sorry if my appearance isn't exactly proper, but I have been caught off-guard with this, therefore appropriate documentation hasn't been achieved, and there's still more to understand here. As far as I understood for short, there's a risk of a war breaking out between the Fatherland and the Kingdom of Bretonia, which shouldn't happen. If the treaty is violated, we will proceed as needed. Though, having learned from my career, being always on the front line, I can tell you that with the current situation of both House Bretonia and House Rheinland, it would be foolhardy to enter a war now. Our economy is also affected by the Gallic situation which is very complicated, ever since the war ended. Both Gallia and Bretonia suffered staggering losses, and even if our war with Kusari ended in a treaty, we also suffered losses. The economy of our house took a blow, while Bretonians as well, but, bear in mind, our military strength is still powerful. Bretonia's only able shipyard is Aland at this moment, as far as our intelligence assets have informed us, which is located close to Omega-7 where we usually patrol. If war breaks out, God help us that it won't, and we launch a lightning-attack on Aland and succeed, we will have enough time to push on while they have nowhere to lick their wounds. In the end, it would be foolish if either Bretonia or Rheinland declares war, as it will only contribute to more chaos and crippling both Houses's economies and power. There is a lot more to this than the eye meets, but I am in no position to organize serious diplomatic meetings or anything of the sort. 'Klaus turned around for a few good seconds, then back to the video feed. As he started talking, he proceeded to go in front of every soldier's front, stopping and then returning back.' Herr von Claussen, if war is to break out, my stalwart crew and I will do our best to protect the Fatherland and it's citizens, for they all have provided us with nothing but prosperity and a roof over our heads. It would be a shame if everything we built would go to dust over this, therefore we must protect our Fatherland at any cost, for it did the same. Gott segne Rheinland! 'With the last word spoken, Gerwald and his crew gave a last salute, as a small smile crept up on Klaus's face, inspiring nothing but courage and dedication, the transmission cutting off.' Hochachtungsvoll, Konteradmiral Gerwald Klaus RE: To: My fellow Rheinlanders. A proclamation by the Hamburg senate against the Kanzler. - Großherzog Albert von Kelsen - 03-06-2020 ![]() ![]() Herr Chancellor VonClaussen,
the content of the information that you bring forth is nothing short of outrageous. We are witnessing the current administration escalate tensions with our Bretonian neighbours and bring us to a brink of yet another war. And for what? For the benefit of the thugs of the Independent Miners Guild? Our shipments are attacked daily by proxy soldiers in the employ of the IMG. My employees quite literally bleed at the hands of this organization. And now I am forced to watch this government act as an advocate for IMG's interests. I would like to remind this administration that Daumann's workers, miners and traders risk their lives every day to keep the industrial heart of Rheinland beating, Despite the Rotte Hesse, against the common pirates and yes, against the Miners Guild. We have pleaded with the Neumann government for ages to better secure the Omega artery. Instead we have to rely on our own security. When will this government start acting in the interests of its own people? The answer is very simple - never. How long will we have to suffer the ignorance, incompetence and outright corruption of Federalchancellor Neumann? Hopefully, not for long. I will support you, I will support the vote of no confidence and I will support any and all measures to remove this failed administration from power. Power it has clung to for far too long. ![]() RE: To: My fellow Rheinlanders. A proclamation by the Hamburg senate against the Kanzler. - Squad - 03-07-2020

To: Linus VonClaussen. From: Celestia Ludenberg. Origin: Deep Omegas. Encryption: Twin Drill Certified. Good afternoon. I am honestly trying my best to keep myself and my Guild out of any political quarrels, and yet not only the House governments keep pulling us into their political games, but we are also the ones to take the blame for someone else's initiatives? You must be having serious mental complications if you honestly believe this. I may not stay out of this not only as the Guildmistress of the Independent Miners Guild, but as a rightful citizen of Rheinland, and further on i am going to speak rather on my own behalf. Some points you are outlining are indeed correct: the changes in our mutual home are long overdue and it is prominent people like you that will spearhead those changes. However, it is imperative for you to direct your efforts properly, for the strong will and desire of changes is not usually enough to achieve your true goal. You may rise to power - only to discover that no changes are possible until an obsolete system is discarded in it's entirety. It saddens me greatly that i have to break it down to you the moment you have started to show some potential, but you simply leave me no choice: it is the capitalist interests that are the plague of Rheinland, and the government is nothing but it's puppets, misled and acting in the corporate interests rather than for the good of people of Rheinland. Ask yourself a question: what is going to change if you keep on pushing on that wrong track? The answer lies on the surface - nothing. The capitalists found their approach to control the current government. And you will not be any different, it is only a matter of time. Actually, as you may see, they have already felt the winds of change. And they are already trying to get on your good side by expressing their pure and honest desire to support you - in case you succeed in your electoral campaign. They are trying so hard to assume control of you even before you get your seat as the head of state, and you are happily helping them to attach the strings they may pull in the future to sidetrack your political agenda. Isn't that right, herr Kelsen? Herr von Claussen, heed my warning: it will not be long before you become just another slave of the capitalist regime that have assumed reign over the government of Rheinland and is the exact reason the working class of Rheinland is impoverished and disgruntled. Do not make me to once again remind you why and how the Guild was formed, although the majority after loosing the means to sustain their lives on the lawful side decided to bring about the change and assimilated with Volksrevolution - some have came to us. They are still coming, and the Guild gives what they are looking for: fair employment, without capitalists to exploit their work. You may have what it takes to bring about the change, herr von Claussen, but it is way too early for your ideals to yield and accept the yoke of the corporations exploiting people you swore to protect and stand for. I will be watching you not as Guildmistress but as citizen of Rheinland, and you will have my support if you decide to dump this yoke off the shoulders of the working class and the government, and bring about the changes Rheinland truly needs. You, and you alone may decide the magnitude of your electoral company, and define what your government will be - another puppet for capitalist moneybags or the voice of people of Rheinland. It is the time for you to make the right choice. And if you wish to discuss something with me in person - i suggest you use a separate frequency, herr von Claussen. ~Celestia Ludenberg.

RE: To: My fellow Rheinlanders. A proclamation by the Hamburg senate against the Kanzler. - Claussen - 03-08-2020 8th März, 827 AS - Neu Berlin ![]() ![]() The Hamburg Provincial Chancellory announces that the vote to host a snap referendum on the ruling party - a Federal Election held three months in advance, has passed the Bundestag with a snap vote of 62 of All Rheinlandic Senate Seats voting in favour of the snap election, out of a total of 110 seats. The total vote in favour was a majority of 56%, over the 55% margin required for arbitration by the Chancellor. Suprise votes included members of the ruling Federal Conservative party, who has been the dominant power in the politics of the Federal Republic since before the Nomad War, who broke ranks with party leadership to vote against the chancellor - including the famed party insider, Paul Karnoff, a former judge of Constitutional Court who ran against Neumann during her rise to power following the removal of Kanzler Schulte. Karnoff's input is thought to have had weight within the Bundestag - as an authority on the Constitution of the Republic, Karnoff's statement that the current actions of the Kanzler violate the constitution of the Republic is thought to have swayed some votes to the opposition. The Rheinland Imperial Party, originally a small minority party based in Hamburg, has ruled unanimously in favour of replacing the chancellor, after a series of local election victories in Berlin that have moved them from the rising pulse of the Hamburg policy to a genuine powerbroker throughout the house. It appears that the snap election has only the Imperial Party prepared for the coming race, with a swell of pre-campaign infrastructure already established. Whilst controversial, the party has benefited from a steadily increasing grassroots support from veterans of the Sigma conflict, along with titans of industry dissatisfied with the Neumann administration's connections with foreign industry. The Imperial Party is lead by the relatively neophyte Linus Von Claussen, a member of the old Von Claussen family of Hamburg Aristocrats, known for their history of national service and the losses their family sustained during the Nomad War, under the tyrannical Florian Neimann. Von Claussen has become something of a neural net sensation following his denouncement of the Federal government in a live broadcast, and the rising levels of employment and quality of life reported throughout Hamburg in the year following his election. The most surprising development was that of the minority party, the Frankfurt-based United Democratic Federation (UDF) - a party praised by some for its egalitarian policies, and criticised by others as a gateway for Bundschuh ideologues, voting with a majority of its seats in favour of the deposition of the Chancellor. Whilst the party is a frequent critic of the populist Imperials, the UDF shares some ideological ties with the Syndicalist AAW (Alternative Arbeitswelle) Party, a party that has steadily been eating into the platform of the Federal Labour Party (FLP), a group which are seen as overly friendly with Libertonian corporations such as Synth Foods and Deep Space Engineering, generally voting the same way as the Federal Conservatives on big-ticket issues such as national defence. The Minority Party of federal particularists, the Six Crown Coalition (Sechs-Kronen-Konkordat or SSK) were divided in their vote for the Federals and for the Opposition, whilst the extreme minority, Stuttgart-only, union-turned-federal party of the Weltbau Verein von Stuttgart (WVS) came out in unanimous startling support for the Opposition, despite rumoured voter suppression efforts by Synth Corp - sending an additional two senators to the opposition. All other parties did not make the districting votes for their senatorial nominees to count in the referendum. The opposition to the federals appears to be a loose coalition of a diverse political spectrum. Many disagree on the issues, however, all view the Federalist parties as undemocratic, corrupt, and incapable of offering change by perpetuating the establishment. This opinion appears to have garnered wide popularity within Rheinland's young and populist voters, although turnout remains a concern. It remains uncertain if Senatorial apathy can transform into change at the ballot box. The startling turn of the United Democrats against the other Federals remains the talk of the Electoral season - securing the win for the otherwise outnumbered Imperials. Only time will tell as to the UDF's strategy going forward. Resulting votes are listed below: Opposition vote Senate Percentages Imperial, Worker's Party, and Stuttgart Worldbuilding Party shown as one block. Cross-party and Neutral Party rogue votes from the Six Crown Coalition, United Democratic Federation, and the Federal Party defectors are shown as a crossbench block. Result = 62 out of 110 (56%) of the Senate calls for an immediate election. Measure passes the Bundestag. ![]() Incumbent vote Senate Percentages Federal Conservatives and Federal Labour are shown as one block.
