Adrienne Perry: Detailed Volume #2 - The Hindmarsh Account - Stolt. - 04-27-2020 The following events take place in the decade of the 780-790’s A.S.
Briarson Hindmarsh was not the name given to him at childbirth but a name he adopted for unknown reasons. It didn’t matter much though. He’s thought to have been a Corsair child soldier who fought against the Outcasts in a distance planet in the 780’s A.S. His age is unknown, but it didn’t particularly matter. What is known is that he was a child soldier, who volunteered, as a child, to fight in the war against the Outcasts. That's just how the Omicrons were back then. He was not misguided either, he had superior intelligence, almost as if his brain had fully developed years earlier then it should have. The voting age in Liberty is 18 years old because that’s when the brain is fully developed and individual is capable of making decisions and taking responsibility for their actions. He voluntarily chose to become a commissar in the Corsair Army, and find and kill anyone who retreated from battle if necessary. He voluntarily chose to do this as a child soldier. Tere weren't many Corsairs who wanted to shoot at their own. Eventually, he was found by a Zoner NGO that took him into their custody. He was adopted by a childless Libertonian couple and moved to Planet Manhattan where he earned Libertonian citizenship an entered West Point Military Academy when he became 18. RE: Adrienne Perry: Detailed Volume #2 - The Hindmarsh Account - Stolt. - 04-27-2020 At the military academy, Hindmarsh excelled in his coursework and graduated second place in his class. He wanted to avoid being within the top ten so that he could maintain a low profile. However, he also wanted to join the test fighter pilot program. It was important for him to fly the most advanced snubcraft possible. He had plans on becoming rich. After graduating, he asked to be put on a frontline fighter squadron that would actively engage the cardamine fuelled Outcasts and Lane Hackers. Only the more experienced Navy and LSF squadrons were sent up against them. The LPI at the time avoided them altogether. He was either going to get rich, or he would die trying. And that meant getting clearance into the Zone-21 and Alaska program. This was where the most secret and advanced weapons were developed when he was in the Navy in the 790’s A.S. His colleagues described him as a stoic squadron wingman, but their perception of him changed once he was promoted to squadron lead. His “stoicism” was a front for blatant careerism. It became apparent to those under his command that he valued taking down hostiles more than he valued bringing his pilots back alive. RE: Adrienne Perry: Detailed Volume #2 - The Hindmarsh Account - Stolt. - 04-27-2020 After several years of good kill ratios for him and those under his command, he was finally selected for the test fighter pilot program. He got his pick for which project wanted in on. In the 790’s A.S., the cloaking technology that exists today wasn't available. It remained theoretical idea. However, Liberty continued to go after other stealth-related programs. This included optical camouflage, mirage technology and even painting their ships with stealth-coating material. These technologies combined, formed the precursor to the cloaking technologies we see in Sirius today. It was the pinnacle of stealth technology during the 790’s A.S. Hindmarsh chose this project, the "Nighthawk Project" when he qualified for the test fighter pilot program. The moment he had clearance to enter Zone-21 and the Alaska system, the psychopath within him began to emerge from the shadows. RE: Adrienne Perry: Detailed Volume #2 - The Hindmarsh Account - Stolt. - 04-27-2020 Hindmarsh was obsessed with money. He grew up poor and starving on Crete just like every other Corsair. But most other Corsairs accepted their fate of not having enough food. And occasionally, the crime of cannibalism still occurred at his original home from time to time. Before he was adopted and sent to Planet Manhattan, he voluntarily chose to become a child soldier. He was not forced into it. He lied about his age and then became a Commissar in with Corsair Army, tasked with investigating and shooting anybody who retreated. But, he was rescued by a Zoner NGO and sent to Liberty where he was adopted and given the chance to grow up normally. He was finally at a place where there was enough food. In 793 A.S. as he entered the Alaska System for the first time, Hindmarsh had access to one of the most advance stealth projects in Sirius, the Nighthawk. And he was going to use it to become rich. And no, he did not plan on stealing and selling this technology. This is where the story becomes one of fact, to something more of a legend that just couldn’t be possible. RE: Adrienne Perry: Detailed Volume #2 - The Hindmarsh Account - Stolt. - 04-27-2020 Over the next several years, Hindmarsh tested the stealth technology his customised Nighthawk Heavy Fighter was upgraded with. It was a upgraded, stealth variant of the Defender. He gave his input into how to improve the technology. But more importantly, he unleashed a wave of corruption, fear, intimidation, bribery, suicide and murder that no one could have seen coming. During his annual leave, he returned to Manhattan where he sought out mercenaries, criminals and gangsters to kidnap the and hold hostage the families of his superior officers, spacecraft maintainence crew, and the scientists/engineers who specialised in stealth research and development. Anyone who didn’t co-operate, had their families lives threatened and if necessary, killed. He communicated with the mercenaries and criminals and gangsters via an encrypted communications array that only operate when a ship passed through the jumpgate in Alaska. This allowed him to minimise the chance of being detected. Some of the people he worked with committed suicide, either because Hindmarsh ordered his mercs to kill their families if they weren’t cooperating with his blackmail, or because they couldn’t take the pressure of their families and loved ones lives being in danger while being powerless to do anything about it. His superiors were the ones taking orders from him. And nobody could do anything about it. He bribed the military police, the Naval Criminal Investigation Service and Liberty Security Force officers assigned to oversee the secrecy and security of the program. And those who refused to be bribed, were killed, driven to suicide, or had their families held hostage. None of this happened overnight. He spent several years building this hell. There were some mishaps. He suspected some of the enlisted men and officers he worked with who had “committed suicide” were still alive. He knew one of them had faked his death but left Liberty for good, never to return. This was understandable. The very institutions that were meant to keep him and his family safe had failed. He must have felt the world had become truly machiavellian by that point. But, he kept his mouth shut too. Because he knew what Hindmarsh planned, and what he was capable of. Hindmarsh never planned on stealing this stealth technology and selling it. He did plan on using it to make money though. RE: Adrienne Perry: Detailed Volume #2 - The Hindmarsh Account - Stolt. - 04-27-2020 By 798 A.S., Hindmarsh was ready to begin his new … “business plan”. He used the mercenariess and criminals he hired to make connections with the underworld after gaining their trust. As the years went by, they introduced him to their bosses, and their bosses to the bosses above them. Soon, he was able to make it to terrorist organisations who were motivated more by survivability than they were with profit. This meant they were risk-averse and not as likely to trust him. He began to make promises that he could keep. He asked for the names of targets and a contract. He told them he could kill the people on that list and know one would know how or why. These criminals and terrorists didn’t give a single sh** about asking questions. They wanted to see if he could keep his promises and kill without anyone knowing how or why. His crew on subsection within Juneau Shipyard were completely compliant by this point. He genuinely he would be dead by now. It was almost as if someone was allowing his corruption to exist, but he didn't question it. The Nighthawk stealth program had stopped accepting new applicants as per the decisions of the Navy officers running the program; the same officers he controlled through blackmail, intimidation and bribery. No investigation would be possible over anything that happened in this program because the very people investigating it would be under Hindmarsh’s iron fisted control. This stealth heavy fighter program was now firmly under his control. He gamed the system to the absolute extent that he could. And with that, he set out on his first contract. He had his blackmailed/bribed crew file fake flight paths and fake ‘test runs’. Meanwhile, he entered into his stealthed Nighthawk and entered into a jump hole out of the Alaska system, and began hunting down the people on that list. One by one, they began to disappear, and no one could tell how or why. There were isolated cases of witnesses who swore to god they saw what looked like a Liberty Navy ship gunning down people. But the Navy said their records didn’t indicate any Navy ship near the place of death. And because his stealth fighter was painted with stealth-coated material, employed Mirage technology and optical camouflage, no scanner data could verify a ship was even there at the site of the murders. Meanwhile, Hindmarsh’s established bank accounts at tax haven’s all throughout Sirius to hide his growing wealth from the contracts he took. Before long, he became a billionaire. But no one knew. The Liberty Navy didn’t know their stealth fighter project was being used by an officer-turned-mercenary . The well-financed criminals and terrorists who employed him didn’t know he had a stealth fighter called the Nighthawk. The Navy staff at the stealth fighter program didn’t know what he used that ship for when he flew it. As of 798 A.S., he owned one of the most advanced, stealth spacecraft in Sirius; paid for and developed by the Liberty Navy, right under their noses. RE: Adrienne Perry: Detailed Volume #2 - The Hindmarsh Account - Stolt. - 04-27-2020 For the next two years, he continued flying out contracts for the scum of Sirius. He even managed to make enough contacts to be linked to an organisation calling itself the “GRI”. He had trouble understanding what language they spoke and their accents but that didn’t matter because had a translator. They paid him handsomely to gather intelligence on the all the houses. He took the money he earned and bought an expensive condos at Curacao, Manhattan, Los Angeles and New Tokyo. But this was not enough, he wanted to make more money. Thanks to the god damned Boorman Treaty [LINK], the chance of a total war breaking out between the houses was next to non-existent. Or was it? In 800 A.S., one his contacts he used to get new contracts introduced him to someone new. Her name didn’t matter, this was business as usual. His contacts would set up a meeting with some new criminal, or terrorist, or someone rich. They would ask him to get something done without asking how and he would deploy his stealth Nighthawk to finish the contract. And nobody would be the wiser as to how that was done. He thanked god for his stealth-ship everyday. But in this particular incident, there was something different about the woman he was introduced to. Whenever he looked away, even slightly, there was a shimmer of purple light out of her eyes. Whenever he looked back, that light disappeared. It was eery and he had his guard up. And the woman could feel his suspicion. For the first time in decades, he felt an unmistakable fear. But he was willing to risk this fear. Because she was going to pay him to start a war. He's a mercenary. A war would make him richer than anything he could fathom. A billion credits to his name just wasn't enough. RE: Adrienne Perry: Detailed Volume #2 - The Hindmarsh Account - Stolt. - 04-27-2020 “We know you have a stealth ship equipped with what you called ‘Mirage technology’. It allows you to mask your ship’s design and make it appear as something else on long range infrared scanners. We want you to use this technology-” He punched her in the f***ing face and began dragging her through the floor of the safe house they arranged their meeting at. Light shone out of her eyes which completely blinded him. At this moment, Hindmarsh fought for his life harder than anything else he would ever fight for in his life. By the end of it, he was more fatigued and injured than he had ever been. A big purple incubi tried to exit the body, but it slowly inched back to its host so that it could heal. He kept pointing his gun at it. *How the f*** did this b**** know about his stealth fighter? Was the Nighthawk program infiltrated? Did the Navy know about all the corruption and intimdation he created? Could he still hide the fact that he used one of their most advanced weapons for his own purposes as a mercenary? What the f*** was going on here? How could he have f***ed up this badly? Was this it? Was this the end?!* The incubi went back to its host. He was ready to pull the trigger, but it didn’t matter. His gun was out of bullets and incstinct told him to stay away from whatever the hell that purple parasite inside of her was. After several minutes, the woman got up, she was bloody and she should have been dead. But that parasite thing kept her alive unnaturally. She limped back to a sofa where she lay down and rested. Hindmarsh was done, she knew he would have killed her by now if she could have. But he also knew she would kill him right now if she could, and she could, but she didn’t. RE: Adrienne Perry: Detailed Volume #2 - The Hindmarsh Account - Stolt. - 04-27-2020 “As I was saying…” The woman did not kill him. She continued with her brief on the mission she wanted him to do. He literally tried to kill her but she just didn’t give a damn. So he listened, because what the f*** else was he going to do. She explained that she needed him to use his Nighthawk which had Mirage technology. She wanted him to disguise the Nighthawk as a Rheinland bomber ship. It would then be upgraded with what she described as “overpowered adapted alien torpedo systems” so that he could severely damage Bretonian battleships in the Omegas and Kusari space stations in the Sigmas. She paused before she explained that there were many like her within the Nighthawk program at Alaska. Those LSF and military police investigators he bribed? All of them had a parasite like hers. If he wanted a parasite to stay out of his body, she made it clear to him he’d do exactly what she wanted without any questions asked. And in return, she’d make sure he gets the war he wants so he can make copious amounts of blood money. A part of him suspected there weren't enough incubi's like her to infest him, but... This, Sounded like a good f***cking idea. At some point he’d probably have to figure out a way to kill her and those LSF and military police officers he bribed. Sure, they were keeping everyone in the program in line, but they couldn’t be trusted. But at least he get more money out of causing and fighting a war between different houses than he ever would taking contracts from a bunch of criminals, terrorists and a bunch of guys who spoke the so-called dead-French language. This was 800 A.S. baby, welcome to the new century. RE: Adrienne Perry: Detailed Volume #2 - The Hindmarsh Account - Stolt. - 04-27-2020 “You know, if a war starts, my stealth ship is probably going to be deployed to the front lines. I’m not entirely sure how I’m going to keep it at drydock and make the Navy think I’m taking it out on ‘test runs’ while carrying out this contract.” Hindmarsh said. “They won’t. I know them. All of them. They’ll do what I say, Just like you.” What the f*** is this b**** on about. Several days later, the upgrades were made to his ship. It was now equipped with adapted torpedoes. He was a bit weary about them, so he started wearing a HAZMAT suit as a precaution. He had no idea if it would work, but that purple incubi was definitely a parasite. He had no idea if there would be more parasites hiding under the belly of his ship, waiting to strike when he least expected it. He took of his ship and disguised its infrared signature as a Rheinland bomber ship thanks to the Mirage technology his ship was upgraded with. He proceeded to the Omegas first as planned and launched attacks side by side with invisible Rheinland ships. It was the first time he witnessed what would later be known as cloaking technology. But their purpose was different. Those ships were meant to infiltrate house space, and they were not meant to be seen. His ship, the Nighthawk,, was meant to be seen as a Rheinland bomber anyway. The woman with the purple eyes knew this. She just wanted a war. So he did her bidding. He attacked the Bretonians and the Kusari. He didn’t bother to get too close though. He didn’t need to. The adapted torpedoes had a huge range he could take advantage of, so the Bretonians and the Kusari probably thought he was a Rheinland ship anyway. Unless someone with a telescope looked towards the Nighthawk with their naked eyes from one of their battleships. But nobody uses that primitive technology now. |
