Capships for Casuals or Beginners - Skyelius - 06-03-2020 Hey everyone! I'm trying to get my old man to play FL with me again on his free time. It won't be easy anyway since he quit many years ago after most of his stuff was wiped. To make this thread useful to people in the future, I would like to make a general inquiry on capital ships. What capital ships would you recommend for a beginner or casual player that wants to chill in a ship without the tension of fast-paced action? Value-added requirements:
Thanks in advance!
RE: Capships for Casuals or Beginners - E X O D I T E - 06-03-2020 I'd say a Zoner mission Nephy for fun in Delta, honestly. We've had hours of fun just right clicking all things what we saw, and our expensive cap armor let us weather the storm. RE: Capships for Casuals or Beginners - Docent - 06-03-2020 I'd recommend a valor if you want to take it easy and enjoy the ambience of Gallia with little disturbance on part of other players. RE: Capships for Casuals or Beginners - MasterL410 - 06-03-2020 I'd recommend those ships; Valor, Legate, Ranseur. These ships would give you a decent ZOI, are easy to fly and offer different activities. With their large ZOI come many enemies though, so be aware of where you're travelling. RE: Capships for Casuals or Beginners - Thunderer - 06-03-2020 Get him a Neph if he only wants to shoots NPCs. It has huge armour and isn't hostile to any humans. RE: Capships for Casuals or Beginners - Kazinsal - 06-03-2020 Come to think of it, I'm not actually sure what's good for battleship missioning in Gallia currently. Enclave especially. I guess +1 for a Nephilim for chilling while right clicking and buffer hulltanking the hell out of basically any NPC the game can throw at you. Even a cap6 one is over 10 million EHP. RE: Capships for Casuals or Beginners - Lemon - 06-03-2020 For PvE and Zoi go for Ranseour in Omicron Tau Tanky, easy to manouver unlike the zoner blob And great missions, often with allies. And you can choose between easy and hard ones (crayter spawns carriers and dreads on relatively low level missions, BGH has cruisers even on high level ones) With a PoB that buys your spoils at nice bonus prices so you get extra money unlike in delta. Add to that a massive ZoI people keep whining about nonstop that lets you go on trips and you have an easy pick. This is my Go-to ship for farming cruiser missions and I have 5 heavy battle ships now including the neph. For your last point and if you want missions and easy frequent PvP , arbiter's your choice, you might have 3 techs to choose from (legion, Civ AND liberty as the ID it getting merged with separatists) and has decent mission systems. Although in PvP it's flak and secondaries are very hard to use because of it's ridiculous lenght + placements RE: Capships for Casuals or Beginners - TheShooter36 - 06-04-2020 I would say Deimos with missioning in Tau 44. |
