Capital Ship Missiles - NonSequitor - 06-04-2020 I performed some experiments in Conn a couple a days ago with the aid of a fellow player. We tested the affectability of BS flaks and cms vs. Hurricane and Nightmare missiles. During the test, there were about 100 players online. My assistant fired missile volleys, from 1 to 2 at regular intervals. The results: Hurricanes can be drawn off target by countermeasures (manually launched), but the rate is around 50% Flaks have no effect on Hurricanes. I fired four times point-blank into incoming missiles - zilch. Goodbye shield, goodbye components. Nightmares are effected by both countermeasures and flak. But if you've got 4-5 incoming you're pretty much out of luck. Boom and thanks for playing. At the moment missiles seem to serve as an "I win" option for folks unable to aim or better manage energy consumption. Are missiles a "bug" or an "intended feature"? RE: Capital Ship Missiles - TheShooter36 - 06-04-2020 Missiles are actually underpowered what are you talking about. They are useless unless you like gimmick loadout and one trick ponies RE: Capital Ship Missiles - NonSequitor - 06-04-2020 (06-04-2020, 07:53 PM)TheShooter36 Wrote: Missiles are actually underpowered what are you talking about.
