I have a question. This is inspired by, but not necessarily fully related to, the Technology Usage chart.

The question is about the gunboat weapons such as Gunboat Primary Turret, which is called a Bretonia Primary Turret in the infocard title (and sold appropriately), as well as the Bretonia Gunboat Missile turret. Are those considered Civilian <House> technology (in this case Bretonia), or are they technology related to the respective militaries?

Thanks for helping with clarification!

I'd assume that they are Military only to their respective houses. Since civilians wouldn't necessarily be given military grade kit, I doubt I'd see any. Unless there is heavy RP involved.

You don't see me running around with an M4 Carbine do you?;)

Would random guy on the street have access? Probably not, but what about groups such as the Gaians? Would Kusari feel free to sell them weapons, knowing they'd be shooting the Bretonians primarily? I could come up with possible scenarios for and against.

For one thing, if selling locations are fixed, Bretonian gunboat turrets are sold by the BPA and BMM. Are they civilan so far as being manufactured by, in this case, BMM (and Samura in Kusari, etc) and primarily sold to the military with surplus on the market, or are they sold exclusively to them?

Alternately, if they are military, I have a suggestion to make for the tech chart, as well as a suggestion for selling locations.

PS I've never met you in person, so you very well could have one. :P And I'll add, according to the wikipedia article, US citizens can lawfully own them in certain situations, though I dunno how much I trust that part. So, furthering the comparison, maybe it would depend on the House?
