To: Unioners (UN|) - Pentshire - 08-04-2020 ![]() Good day, whomever it may concern, My name is Dr. Jean Brill, chief of medicine and head of operations aboard the independent hospital ship Panacea. As our communications officer explained to your colleagues, Misters Hopf and Hollywood, yesterday, we are employed by the Pentshire Foundation, a humanitarian non-governmental organization, whose main goal it is to provide medical and other humanitarian aid to those in need, regardless of affiliation. As such, when requested for assistance by Misters Hopf and Hollywood yesterday at your Pacifica Station in Bering, we of course gladly obliged. I am both happy and slightly concerned to report that our ship's staff and facilities are a not insignificant improvement over the ones available on the station. I would highly recommend investing in more modern, more expansive medical facilities aboard Pacifica. Regardless, I had our staff put operations aboard the Panacea on hold to instead concentrate on treating those in need aboard your station. Initial suspicions of your comrades were quickly dispelled and treatments administered rapidly and effectively. I took the liberty of quartering eight volunteering doctors and nurses aboard Pacifica, to continue the treatment of your comrades during the Panacea's absence - as we are needed elsewhere, too. These staff members of mine will, if you do not object, remain aboard the station until the Panacea next returns to Pacifica. I expect my staff to be treated with respect and dignity during their stay - should I receive complaints from them, our operation aboard the station will be aborted immediately. I look forward to continuing our assistance of the men and women aboard Pacifica Station and elsewhere, should you so request. This channel will remain open for future communications. "G'day.
The Union appreciates your service doctor. I hope ya aren't too shocked about the conditions on Pacifica. It's our humble home after all. I will personally make sure your staff is treated with the utmost respect. Ya' know, like y'all are one of us." "When it comes to us investin' money into the medical staff. I ain't really no pro at that. Do you have any clue where we could obtain supplies or from who we could purchase them?" "I will perhaps need your support in the near future. It's always good to have a doctor with ya'. If you want to get any closer to us, you can find the recruitment officer onboard Pacifica. You should also report any... Unpleasent actions towards your people to us. We can deal with it." "And... I think that's it, bye!" Always spare the last bullet for yourself. James Hollywood. Vorarbeiter, Planet Houston. RE: To: Unioners (UN|) - Pentshire - 08-04-2020 ![]() Good day, Mister Hollywood, I appreciate your offer of protection, however, the Pentshire Foundation tries to maintain absolute neutrality. Should we run into trouble, we will do our utmost to deal with it ourselves. As for expanding your station's medical infrastructure, that may be a bit of an undertaking. If you are interested, I could put together a rough estimate of required goods, supplies, and resources and where to obtain them for that purpose. Until then, I would recommend obtaining and installing a number of mobile medical units. While not as comprehensive as full medical suites, they are quite effective and easy to use and maintain. If you have further need for assistance by the doctors of the Pentshire Foundation in the future, feel free to contact us. "G'day doc! Once again. Yeah sure, if ya could make us a list it would be appreciated. Also we would need someone to put those materials together once they're delivered. Do ya know anyone that could help with that? I'll order some Mobile medical units for the time bein' then." He takes a shot of a mysterious beverage from a glass. "Ugh, anyways. Yeah. I really don't know, how these things work so... Drop me a message next time you're in Bering and I'll 'donate' some credits to ya." Always spare the last bullet for yourself. James Hollywood. RE: To: Unioners (UN|) - Pentshire - 08-05-2020 ![]() Good day, Mister Hollywood, The following list should cover the supplies needed to equip a medical facility suitable for the size of Pacifica Station, providing sufficient equipment and materials to operate for several months (assuming an average rate of injury and disease among the population of the station).
Further, I noticed that the medical staff already aboard Pacifica was rather lacking in training and expertise. I recommend either hiring additional practitioners or allowing the members of my staff currently on the station to train yours. Regards, Dr. Jean Brill, Panacea |
