The Secret Intelligence Service, Bretonian Intelligence Service, whatever you wish to call them, are a pain to both of our rears. Bretonia absolutely refuses to sell the last bit of land and this remaining spy outpost in Inverness, which makes things a little more... annoying.

Your intel, while somewhat dated, is still remarkably interesting. However you should know that the Gaians have largely withdrawn from our borders, and are a very rare nuisance at worst.

What I'm more interested in is your organization claiming ownership over the Kansas system, when a prior treaty with your organisation simply allows for you to operate in the region, and not stake claims. And certainly not when Liberty claims Kansas as her own and, when possible, enforces her laws within the system.

It might be wise to reconsider.

Aww, since you love reading so much, maybe you should read the part where it doesn't say we claim the entire system but the planet and that useless nebula.

Don't distract yourself, the Gaians still remain and they absolutely still linger in the borders and California. Traders happen to be very vocal you know. Even if they buzz less, they still have that opportunity to buzz more loudly in the future.

Unless you want them to have their little tree hugger hideouts near your home. I mean, of course, that's your call to keep diversity a colourful rainbow under the Liberty banners. I'm sure Planetform will love it in Hudson too.

We can scratch each others backs, deal with the mutual problem, save money and resources, and maybe compensate you a bit. Or we don't and we let it bite it in our asses in the future. Up to you.

You seem to have me confused with a diplomat, or perhaps some pencil pusher in the middle or lower echelons of the forces Tactical Operations, which I will say, has neither. Whatever your beliefs, it would behoove you to watch your tone, as the LSF has broken men and women greater than Auxesia over the bows of their ships.

I will not get into the specifics of how you are wrong and perhaps consider that our agency may know the inside and outs of Liberty just a touch more than yours.

The first issue is that Liberty was neither informed nor had it authorized Auxesia claiming territory in what is decidedly Liberty space. Once we resolve that issue, we can move on to any others.

Let's see... Liberty agreed during the treaty signed in the Palace, that we would be allowed to keep our current research installations that existed during the conflict. In the Liberty Peace Accords, allow me to quote... ahem...

Quote:- Allowance to operate in Kansas in order to protect the local civilian populace, who reside there, and to study the points of alien interest. Provided the Liberty Forces are made aware of any on-going situations.

This means, Liberty, is free to operate in Kansas too, our stations are still owned by us - as we obviously run our own locations. The Government was aware of the on-goings in the nebulae as we elaborated in the meeting, it /has/ to be quarantined from public vessels. Your ships can still go in there as they will, but we're not going to allow the local rabble interfere with it, not even the Insurgency. As you may know, having ships mindlessly flying in there will interfere with studies.

Whether you made yourself concerned in correlation to us obtaining a system in the deeper Independet Worlds or not, the 'no military' thoughtline currently applies only to the Inverness sector - this is primarily to deter undercover elements of the infested forces. We cannot verify if a ship is truly under orders of another organisation or not. Bottom line, yes, you still own Kansas, yes, you can be here, yes you can go to Wichita. It would be of great preference if our installations were not touched though!
