okay, i am getting rather tired of that bug where instead of a wing of five level 19 fighters you get a wing of five Osiris battleships or five bounty hunter cruisers. EDIT: oh, i mean when you take missions.
FOR GODS SAKE, HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO KILL THOSE IN A FIGHTER!
Anyway, i am to assume that there is no way to fix this bug or what?
need some answers from people in the know.

You don't.
I wish I had something more useful to say, but I get those once in a while (sometimes as the blasted reinforcements, too!) and I just open the map, hit Abort, and use the EK Staredown trick to get out of there alive.

yea, thats what i do. it is just annoying though.
the last four missions i took were to kill a boss or leader and they were in osiris' for the corsairs and BHG cruisers for the, erm BH.
before new mod gave them shields you could take down a wing of five with a GB. but now they have the increased firepower and the shields, your GB is toast in like 20 seconds.

The more expensive ones have bigger and better enemy ships. If you have a fighter you'll want to do the easier ones unless you have support.

I've had cruisers pop up in a 400k mission, and I've done 700k missions against just Hammerheads (which, btw, fall really easily to my Switchblade.)

need some answers from people in the know.
That usually only happens when you take high level missions ... like anything that pays out around 500k or more. Stick with those missions that pay out 100k or less and you should be able to fight what you encounter.

it happened to me with a 170k mission.
I almost got one with my bomber, I guess that with 2 bombers it can be done easily.

Yea, I've seen 100-200k missions in gallia that spawn gunboats, similar for order missions in minor.
Unfortunately I dont think there's any way to fix it. The only real solution is to make missions only spawn fighters =)

Which is why I said stick with the 100k and lower missions.
