[Official Event] The Siege of Thuringia - Squad - 12-04-2020 The Siege of Thuringia Thuringia, New Berlin, and Frankfurt Hybrid Event ![]() OVERVIEW The Rheinland Civil war has slowed down to an exasperated grind of attrition. Federalist and Imperial forces have dedicated the vast majority of their fleets to holding their respective fronts. The Federalists, though outnumbered, have settled along the defensible perimeters of their holdout sectors and are barely keeping the line. Imperial forces exercise their numerical superiority by keeping pressure on the Federalist defenses, but losses are mounting and bottleneck defense points preclude any offensives without projections of horrendous casualties. War weariness has resulted in mass unrest throughout Rheinland, in Imperial and Federal worlds alike - from the citizenry to the troops in the field. Feeling pressure to bring an end to the war as soon as possible, the Emperor has tasked Rear Admiral Otto von Clauswitz with planning a renewed offensive to bring about a decisive end to the war. Casualties be damned. In preparation for a renewed offensive into Thuringia, Clausewitz has distributed sealed orders to mobilize Battlegroups Schwerin, Soltau, and Altenberg to encircle the Frankfurt front. Skeleton details remain to provide a defensive perimeter for Rheinland borders, while the vast majority of the Imperial Fleet have now redeployed to Oder Shipyard around New Berlin as a staging area for the final push. Efforts are underway to establish a temporary staging area near the New Berlin Gate, close to the front lines, to handle emergency ship repairs and defense coordination. Federalist Intelligence has received word of a massive, final push towards Thuringia through Frankfurt. Fleet Coordinator von Steuben orders all offensive initiatives to scale down and return to Thuringia for the final defense of Weimar. To bolster defenses, von Steuben orders the construction of a fleet supply construct in Weimar orbit near Jena station in order to marshal the combined forces of the manned and drone fleets. RE: [Official Event] The Siege of Thuringia - Greylock - 12-04-2020 Gib point to [SMR]Fr.Rosen. My attempt to kill myself and take him with me failed. I need to reevaluate the range of nova explosions. RE: [Official Event] The Siege of Thuringia - bakugone - 12-04-2020 1+ point to Federal side, accidental death - we were trying to do something with the anomaly, and we ironically died to it. RE: [Official Event] The Siege of Thuringia - Lemon - 12-04-2020 Eh I backed up into the Thuringia death cloud in a 100% won fight :/ KKS-Weltuntengang. It's damn invisible pretty much And seems like 2 RM suicided on purpose right after by flying into it - it gives "killed by hostile vessel". No clue what, but can be something done about that? Maybe even tone down the damage for the event pls to normal radiation? No clue what, but can be something done about that? It was accidental, we never knew an anomaly does 100k damage on hull or maybe more. RE: [Official Event] The Siege of Thuringia - Darius - 12-04-2020 Give 1 point to Federalists. I accidentally killed myself in the anomaly in Thuringia. RE: [Official Event] The Siege of Thuringia - Groshyr - 12-04-2020 2 to Feds ![]() ![]() RE: [Official Event] The Siege of Thuringia - Lemon - 12-04-2020 I mean you literally just saw me die to it right before you dove inside cmon Baku ![]() but in normal game I never understand what's going on - it doesn't look dangerous at all. It's a problem - either it will give "hostile vessel" or will give a lot of suicides. Toning the damage down would be pretty good for the event imo RE: [Official Event] The Siege of Thuringia - bakugone - 12-04-2020 (12-04-2020, 06:25 PM)Relation-Ship Wrote: I mean you literally just saw me die to it right before you dove inside cmon Baku You did? I was more focusing on staying alive against the Cruisers, and I thought you just went to restock, funny revelation to be honest. Oh well, accidents happen, as long as the point is counted, I'm sure it's fine ![]() |
