Reposted: {HMi} - Carme - 03-29-2009 A Picture of Miles Ojai ---A glance at the Head of the founders for our growing Corporation. (maybe we will launch this thing afterall?) Nothing fancy here yet. This is not a faction request, just an advert for a possible future faction. {HMi} = {Heavy Mining Industries} (The lowercase i in the Tag is to make it look more interesting, all caps in Tags is boring.) So-far, we have 2 fully equipped mining ships at our disposal, one belonging to me, and one to the secondary investor. The idea was born recently, after discovering that a fun way to make money is to mine Helium and outfit green pilots with Rhinos to carry it to Philadelphia Station. There was a stationary mining ship staying in the field indefinitely, while the haulers paid 200$ per ton of Helium, giving them a profit of 500$ per ton. So-far, we have had 3 other members following this simple plan (from just March 28th). Reasoning behind calling it Heavy Mining ind. instead of "Helium" Mining ind. is because we might not stick with Helium forever, there might be a more profitable mining site some time in the future... But we will probably keep an operation there, at least as long as we need to rely on fresh pilots for crew. Also, we are some Heavy Miners, strip mining anything we can run a profit on. My mining ship's Captain is named Miles.Ojai (still no "vessel name"), and the second mining ship is [TAZ]Knuthetal, being the mentioned secondary investor. Roster so-far: (People who have been involved with this scheme in its latest version, not necessarily wearing the Corporation's tag): Celadour - Camara Freighter [TAZ]Knuthetal - Mining Ship (We split the price of a second mining ship with Celadour's pilot, I just couldn't keep up with all these 630-ton cargo ships.) Ion (Camara Freighter) TAU-[T] (Camara Freighter) Reposted: {HMi} - Carme - 03-29-2009 //Bump. Reposted: {HMi} - Montezuma/Kukulcan - 03-29-2009 2 things, first, there are more profitable feilds, second, seeing as i have a mining ship that is having to act as a half miner/half trader, i would like to inquire about getting involved. He is Captain Axcoyatl of the mining ship "Cuauthemoc". Reposted: {HMi} - Carme - 03-30-2009 Do share with us the location of this "better" mining site, as we are planning to make a move anywhere we will profit better at... Also we would love to have more investors (and also Mining Ships) in our company. The more miners and haulers we get, the more money everyone makes. However recruiting new haulers in Pennsylvania every time we lose one is really nice... We're going to have to work on how to get better sites, and exploit the "Green Pilots" showing up off Planet Erie as employees for our Corporation... Reposted: {HMi} - Montezuma/Kukulcan - 03-30-2009 Well, where i have been mining recently, dresden, can be quite profitable, you can sell diamonds for 400 - 500 each, as the cheapest place to buy them, Bautzen, sells them for 570 or something. But i suppose it is quite far from a suitable recruiting location. Reposted: {HMi} - dr lameos - 03-30-2009 oh no, you aren't stealing from our schwefenebal in Dresden, that is Kruger property Reposted: {HMi} - Montezuma/Kukulcan - 03-30-2009 Who says i was stealing, anyway, i havent seen a single Kruger person there in....well....ever. And if it was "stealing", the many police i have met there dont seem to even notice, let alone care. Reposted: {HMi} - Derkylos - 03-30-2009 Ah, yes, to all these new mining factions...mining in a field claimed by an already established faction may be...uhh...bad for your health... Reposted: {HMi} - Montezuma/Kukulcan - 03-30-2009 I wouldnt want to endanger anyone, its just that if they "own" it, shouldnt someone at least say something to me as i am comparitavely new to mining. It is completely different from the monotonous trading that i quit from boredom. If anyone claims to "own" an asteroid feild or suchlike, it would be nice to those of us who want to give mining a shot, to openly say what is theirs, and to also say what they want to restrict. Reposted: {HMi} - Carme - 03-30-2009 First off... Risking the loss of expensive mining machinery over less profits is bad. Don't do it. We in the Helium Field sell our gas for 700$ per ton. (cargo unit) There is roughly a 13 cargo drop average per rock in the Helium field. (but we are paying people to haul it off so the mining ships can sit still mining the way they should be doing.) |
