Borneo M.S - Maréchaussée de Gaule - Lemon - 04-24-2021 INCOMING TRANSMISSION COMM-ID:Roy Bennett SUBJECT:First Contact RECIPIENT:Maréchaussée de Gaule High Command, Tarik Torren, Rest of Borneo Mining Syndicate High Command ![]()
Hello,
Today by chance I have followed some unknown pilots to see if we can get more recruits for The Syndicate. Amidst the negotiations they lead me to an unknown (to me) system, where I met someone I haven't seen in a long time - pure unapologetic Royalists. The contact went well - neither side engaged in hostilities and we went to talking business, after all was said and done they even made sure I safely make it out of the system, for which I sent a friendly 1,000,000 credits. I tried my best, I really did. But at the end of the day I am a lowly Niobium hauler, that tries his best to use his measly patrolling and fighting skills against The Outcasts, the only people I really hate with a passion, part-time. The opposing side were patrolmen themselves, and after a prolonged effort from both sides we realized neither side has the deep knowledge, or authority, to confirm if there will be a business opportunity or not between our peoples. ![]() Thank you for your time, my job is done and I shall leave the rest to you higher-ups now. ![]() Pilot OF BMS|Gamma-1 Borneo Mining Syndicate RE: Borneo M.S - Maréchaussée de Gaule - Zentor - 04-25-2021 INCOMING TRANSMISSION COMM-ID: Tarik Torren Recipient: La Maréchaussée de Gaule ![]() To the one they call "Maréchal", Greetings, I am Tarik Torren, Prospector General of the Borneo Mining Syndicate. I had the pleasure of meeting some of your pilots today while on operation in Tau 44. My organization though having deep roots within the Taus, stands a fairly young entity, having formed after the Maltese invasion of the Tau borderworlds under Operation Orange Hammer late last year. At that time, the Gallic Royal Enclave operated a large swathe stretching from Edinburgh to Orkney and Languedoc but much has changed since then. It is my understanding the bulk of the former GRE chose reunification and your forces are all that chose not to join the new Gallic government. Though I'm sure it is dear to your hearts, none of that is of concern to our people, living in the Taus and therefore will not be a factor in stifling commerce betwee us. Ours is a struggle against the marauding Matlese warfleets out of the Omicrons and trying to grow a commercial presence and safeguard the region from corporate greed oozing out of Bretonia and those that wish to take rather then invest. Your operational presence in the neighboring system of Tau 115 has grown recently it seems as our pilots seem to notice your activites more frequently and so it is time that we connect and find out your stance towards us. So that you have somewhat of an understanding, our goals are as follows: Our primary nemesis are the Outcasts and their allies. Our focus is achieving operational security in the Tau region from them, grow our commercial interests centered on mining, shipbuilding and trasnportation of goods, and keeping out corporate exploitation. Anyone who can exist amicably to these ideals and does not hamper our work is welcome and we will consider trade with them. So please, how will the Marshalcy interact with the Syndicate? ![]() Captain of CV Sycorax Borneo Mining Syndicate RE: Borneo M.S - Maréchaussée de Gaule - Lex - 04-25-2021 La Maréchaussée de Gaule
The Marshalcy of Gallia ![]() Identité: Prévôt Jacques de La Tour d'Auvergne, La Maréchausée de Gaule Subject: Borneo Mining Syndicate Bonjour Prospector General,
My name is Jacques de La Tour d'Auvergne, Prévôt of the Maréchausée. The Maréchal is currently handling other matters so I will be taking over this communication.
You are correct that a large portion of the Enclave forces have merged with the Confederates to form the illegitimate Gallic Union. All considered traitors to the Crown, damn bastards. But let us not get distracted and focus on your organization. While we share a common enemy in the Outcasts, the Maréchausée will continue to drive back their raids wherever possible, but it is not our current priority. What really concerns me is your open use of Crayter warships. We cannot and will not allow puppets of the Crayterians to control the Taus. As the Crayters are no more than a branch of the vile Bretonians. Their influence into the Taus will not be tolerated. So, Prospector General, tell me directly about your relationship with the Crayterians. Perhaps there could be a beneficial relationship if you answer correctly. Our forebears aided them often and shared our engineering, helped their people get a decent start, gave them refuge on Pecos but much has changed just as it has for your organization. Much of the foundations of the Syndicate are former Crayterian military and cvilian personnel who have felt betrayed and disenfranchised by the Coronado government. After Orange Hammer, the aid from the Crayterian capitol was little and late, focusing more instead to center their efforts on their coreworld and not much else. Not only this, but the choice of the current administration in being a vestigial growth attached to Bretonia is apalling, especially considering how the supposed "ally" of the Colonial Republic made exactly zero attempts at aiding in the defense of Tau 44 from the Maltese. Many thousands of lives, **curses quietly and pauses**, many thousands of Tau lives, sir, were lost that could have been avoided had the BAF chosen to show tiny concern for the welfare of the people here. And what happens as we are still hauling away our wrecks and mourning our dead? Bretonian corporations make new claims and installations in the Taus and Bretonian mining crews begin operations to supplant our decreased crews in favor of their interests, whilst the smoke still rises. And know this: I am among the more moderate of the BMS leadership in my feelings towards our Crayterian and Bretonian neighbors. So yes, we use Crayterian tech because it is our privilege and our right, IMG of the past gave the Crayterians the legs they now stand upon. ![]() Captain of CV Sycorax Borneo Mining Syndicate RE: Borneo M.S - Maréchaussée de Gaule - Lex - 04-25-2021 La Maréchaussée de Gaule

Your history with the Crayter Republic is still quite concerning to me but perhaps now you understand the importance of loyalty after being tossed aside in your time of need. Loyalty is a quality that I expect out of my people and my friends. I will be frank; I do not trust you and I do not believe our goals are aligned. While we share some common enemies in the Outcasts and Bretonians, that is as far as our commonalities go.
What I will give you is an agreement to a non-interference policy. This will only be valid if you are not harboring or assisting any the Crowns enemies. Perhaps someday if you prove yourself as loyal servants of the Crown, we can have this discussion again. Until then, Prospector General.
