Greetings, constable. I am Lefina Elwyn, captain of the Gaian destroyer GG-07 Artio - the very same that has recently appeared in New London's space and has doubtless turned more than a few lawful eyes.
Please do not be alarmed by this message or its header. This is no declaration of war, nor do I speak on behalf of the Gaian Guard.

I am sending this message on the advice of HMS Howe's commander-in-chief, which we have encountered in New London's space alongside a BPA vessel as we were conducting early engine trials, to aid in future adjustments and repairs.
It appears neither individual were informed of the prior talks we have entertained with vice admiral Oliver Myles, of the BRF, and showed - understandably - disbelief at our claims of an arrangement having been negotiated between us, in the spirit of our former cooperation in the face of the (now resurgent) Gallic threat.

To lend substance to said claims and in order to ensure smooth relations, I have attached a transcript of the original encounter with the BAF, BRP and BPA forces in New London. You will find highlighted the sections most relevant to the matter at hand, for your convenience, but I should think you will find the rest of the exchanges... informative, if you will, about our stances.

I apologise for the confusion inadvertently caused on both accounts of trespassing; in the first incident, we assumed our prior truce to be still valid, and in the second and most recent, that the vice admiral had already relayed our agreement.
I understand that he must be a busy man and that we may have waited longer, but I am convinced time is of the essence, and we - the Artio - have lost far too much of it.

In conclusion, constable, here are the logs.
I pray you shall give them the fair apprisal the commander-in-chief has promised, and to that end, I shall keep this communcations channel open - should you seek further information, you have but to ask.

Gaia's will be done, and godspeed.
Captain Lefina Elwyn, out.

Miss Elwyn.

Good afternoon. Or evening, or whenever this message finds you. I was about to dismiss your communication, it's not every day peculiar individuals like you and their messages end up on my desk - but yours did, courtesy of Howe's commander-in-chief, who's coincidentially - my good acquaintance; so, out of sheer respect for his word i've actually given it a thorough review - and it's one of those things i have mixed feelings about, but also a matter where my personal stance means little.
Bretonians are donnish, and their bureaucratic machine is a complete and utter hell, where a lot gets lost into oblivion - consciously or not. Needless to say it's terribly inefficient, although less than, let's say - in Liberty; but still, Vice-Admiral's approval is an achievement to be proud of and it will sure grant you ample leniency the moment it's released as an official order, or made public in any other way... which may take months to actually happen, and we don't have that time if the Royalists are actually back and are as obsessed with their idea of greatness and 'cultural exchange' as they've always been. I've been on the frontlines when the Gallic plague struck Taus, i've been on the frontlines throughout most of their Bretonian campaing. And trust me, i've seen some shit, Leeds still is a bleeding scar left on the face of Sirius. Left by Roi's bootlickers, mind it...
... but i'm getting sidetracked. I'll spare you the courtesy of experiencing full power of Bretonia's trademark bureaucracy and will transmit the message across the Realm for every commander-in-chief and constable to hear, and i'm sure you'll be seeing to plenty of opportunities to prove yourself not by words alone, but also by your deeds.

Godspeed, Green Front activist Elwyn.

Good day to you, constable Beurling.
Your willingness to lend me your ear is a bright spark of hope in a nebulous and unfamiliar present, one that is sorely needed amidst reports of accursed Gauls once again on the move and heartbreaking revelations.
We are still reeling under the sheer enormity of what we have missed. Leeds annihilated, Gaia tarnished and conquered - and then freed by Navy arms, of all things! - and a war fought and won, devastating though it was, among other things.
Any one of these events would give the sternest of spirits pause, but pause much sought is to us denied. So be it.

At the onset of our past truce, an event I still look back to fondly, I like others have endeavoured to set aside long-standing grievances, antagonistic posturing and even precious secrecy in the pursuit of earnest co-operation - even beyond the confines of the then-present Gallic contingency, I dared to hope.
Though this approach has earned us sanction and suspicion, from both sides and at times even within my own crew, I feel confident in saying that history has vindicated our decision.
A House divided cannot stand, it is said, and Bretonia yet stands.

Forgive the digression. It may not bear immediate relevance to the subject, but I felt it had to be said - that you, and by extension your comrades, may know I and mine will act now as we have then.

Now, onto more concrete matters...
Eager though we are to assist, I must confess our means to do so are presently limited - to summarise, we have but the other day managed to return to Bretonian space after two years of perilous travel through uncharted space, the Artio is severely damaged and even if repairs were to be conducted in all haste (as we are attempting to) I fear they will take no less than weeks to restore its functionalities, and I cannot command any significant influence upon my brethren.
Few of those I used to know yet remain, I am unclear as to the current leanings of the movement, and my former unit appears to have vanished overnight.
A hardly ideal situation, unfortunately.

Nevertheless, we are not entirely powerless.
While the Artio is out of commission and our escort fighter is long gone, our pilot is not and given the frequency of Gaian patrols, it seems likely I could secure us a spare fighter; if so, we will conduct recon operations ourselves and relay all relevant information to you or whichever navy figure will agree to co-operate. On my end I shall do the same with the other pilots, and see if they will join our efforts.

In conclusion, constable Beurling, we are diminished but undaunted.
What we may do, we shall; and I pray your comrades will see the merit in our offer, in time.

Gaia's will be done, and godspeed.
Captain Lefina Elwyn, out.

P.S.: You have mentioned serving on the Tau war theatre. So have we, from early 825 'till the day of our demise. A mere coincidence, perhaps, but one I found most fascinating.
