My newest "Masterpiece" - Caribe - 04-04-2009 [attachmentid=5601] Comments? My newest "Masterpiece" - johnpeter - 04-04-2009 Wow, did you make this? My newest "Masterpiece" - Lux - 04-04-2009 ' Wrote:Wow, did you make this?Doesn't the title give it away? "My newest 'Masterpiece'". Anyway, that looks very good. I love how well-presented the fog is; looks very realistic. On a side note, is the light from a lighthouse really that yellow? Good work, though. It's very (if you'll pardon the double use of the word) realistic. I don't really have anything else to say:unsure:. (How much time did you spend on it?) My newest "Masterpiece" - jenya - 04-04-2009 WOW.... simply WOW im sorry but i havent got anything else to say WOW... My newest "Masterpiece" - tazuras - 04-04-2009 Very nice. Pretty good amount of detail, is this a drawing or a render. If it's a render I would like to see more detail in the lens chamber of the lighthouse and maybe some more fog on the water if possible. Also although I figure you dont want the focus to be on the moon I wish there was a little detail there. Believe it or not I really do like it, I just find it harder to give praise than criticism. My newest "Masterpiece" - AdamantineFist - 04-04-2009 Swell job, Caribe! Looks like a lovely, albeit lonely, night out on those rocks to me. When you refer more detail in the lens chamber do you mean actually drawing out the lights on the spinning thingy? And sure I'll add fog. My newest "Masterpiece" - tazuras - 04-05-2009 Woot, someone listened to me! I'm kinda shocked, im not used to giving criticism here without people contradicting me.... As for the lens chamber, yeah, a little bit of the mechanism would be nice. I think you could get away with a pedestal that holds the spinny bit and the spiny bit could be mostly dark with an edge and a sliver of the very bright lens, or you could prolly get away with a dark post with a box on top if you dont feel like adding that amount of detail. It just feels weird with nothing in the tower to be casting the light, the light appears to be coming from nothingness... The other option I thought of was making the glass have a reflection or maybe putting some posts in it that could conceivably conceal the lens mechanism. But yeah, do what you feel best about, it is your masterpiece after all. My newest "Masterpiece" - Caribe - 04-05-2009 Ok made a few modifications. Added more fog, moon details (had to do some horrible photoshop work there cause it looked weird), and added something inside the glass in the lighthouse. [attachmentid=5602] |
