Bargey Wargey - Niezck - 04-06-2009 Any idea when we can get our collective hands on these lovelies? Bargey Wargey - Saigo.Watanabe - 04-06-2009 The Barge is Admin Given, so you have to do a special rp request to get one, you also have to get it beamed by the admins to the system you are going to use it in, as it cannot go through Jump-gates, cannot cruiser, cannot go through the trade-lanes and its VERY hard to get it through Jump-holes. Hope that helped. -Saigo. Edit: or rather what Dusty said, i knew it was something like that. Hehe Bargey Wargey - Dusty Lens - 04-06-2009 Rather it cannot use holes and barely... And I mean barely can use a gate. It can cruise, it simply takes five minutes to charge and even then achieves a subpar thrust... I believe 250. Its impulse speed is 20. It takes 5 minutes to turn around. It's the size of Pittsburgh. You can be sure that the chances of securing such a vessel will be very specific as the bloody thing is a traffic menace. Most systems, such as the most of the taus, will not be able to accommodate it. Three of the things could permanently lock down New York's gates. Bargey Wargey - Linkus - 04-06-2009 I popped into one on OpenSP. It has an interesting turning circle I must say. Why not implement a limited jump drive for it? IE, 10 minute jump build up time and co-ordinates are set before you engage the jump build up. It actually works 100% perfectly, just wouldn't fit Discovery much in other parts but for this Barge, it would be just right. You can also set certain regulations into the co-ordinates, so you don't end up around certain areas (IE, it was usually used for around planets etc so you didn't jump..into them but it can easily be replicated for around other objects, such as jumpgates etc) So all in all, the jump drive FLHook (As I used it) worked perfectly and had no issues offline and online. Allowing the Barge limited use of it, with plenty of programmed regulations, would solve the jumping problem. Bargey Wargey - cmfalconer - 04-06-2009 because with 25000 cargo, I'd gladly set the jumpdrive time with a hold full of whatever, have a sandwich, and come back and sell my cargo. I don't know why the mining consortiums couldn't have one right now. Bargey Wargey - Linkus - 04-06-2009 The time it takes for a jump to first of all be built up can be set as whatever you want. Plus the time for the actual jump can be set too. In other words, get your 25000 units of cardi and jump consequtively to NY if you want, each jump might take you 10-20 (000000) minutes though. |
