I know this is going to get a lot of attention. And I still propose it.
Could the death message color changed to more bright color? It's by far the most invisible and blurry color in the texts.
Many of the screenshots are a pain to read and especially the videos are horrible due to compression. Other colors "survive" the video compression fine, but the death messages suffer greatly.
The problem is the space black back-ground. Other back-grounds are ok for death messages.
So a little boost of brightness? A touch of white?

I don't know what exactly should be the color of it, but the current one is pretty bad to read against black.

I like the colour as it is, it has a sort of "I just owned you look" in system.

You have got a point, it is very hard to read the dark blue message in screenshots, especially in edited quality screenshots with less color or attributes because of size.
Make it brighter and noticeable among all red messages.
Maybe you should make a poll with some bright colors to choose from and people should decide.

Isn't it possible to give it the green color that multikills had?
