Good day,

It has been five days since we sent Gallia the list of demands which all of us had agreed on at the conference. Having in mind that they have not yet answered us and that they only have two more days remaining, the Foreign Office implies that our joint reaction should be prepared in time, so that it can be put forward immediately when necessary and leave a strong impression, to perhaps change the mind of New Paris sooner rather than later.

This is what the Treaty of Harris states: "If any of these demands is not met by Gallia, then Kusari, Crayter and Bretonia will place a total embargo on all and any ships coming to and from Gallia."

I am hereby notifying you that all of us should start raising the level of readiness in our Tau patrols so that they can enforce the embargo. If the outcome of our letter to Gallia indeed proves negative, we will take on ourselves the task of informing Liberty and see what they can do to pressure Rheinland, so that Rheinland might close their borders to Gallic trade as well, thus leaving Gallia truly isolated and on its own. I have been hinted that Kusari may want to have a hand in this due to the damage that your nation recently suffered from Rheinland?

Please confirm that your respective ministries have received this letter, as well as our letter to Gallia. If you have any additional plans, present them here.

Good day,

Gallia has failed to give us any kind of response. Thus, our three states must now place an embargo on all ships coming to or from Gallia. Would each of you be so kind to inform Gallia of this in the original channel? I expect that this will make us look stronger. I will give you access immediately.

Miss Mountbatten.

It is a pleasure once again. It has been a while since the Harris conference and its little incident.

His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Kogen Tetsuya and the relevant members of the Cabinet just concluded a meeting regarding this matter earlier today with the following result:
The Empire of Kusari will not give a statement of its own towards the Gallic Union. Neither the Emperor nor the Cabinet members see a benefit in arguing with Gallic politicians at this point.

We will fulfill the relevant paragraphs of the Treaty of Harris, that's it. We are not friends but business partners. Our mutual interest only extends as far as keeping Gallia in check, revitalizing the Tau Highway and its importance to Sirian economy and fighting the ever-lasting Outcast and piracy issues in the Tau sector.

Regardless, the Kusari Kaigun was informed about the new circumstances and is expected to take action at their own discretion.

With utmost respect,
Genrō of his Imperial Majesty Kogen Tetsuya,
Shunsuku Itō.

Good day Mr Ito,

It has indeed been a long time since the incident, and I hoped I would never be reminded of it so that I could forget it. But as you have undoubtedly noticed, my appetite for alcohol has clearly never impeded my competence as foreign secretary, which is innate to me, as the head of an ancient Bretonian noble house and the daughter of the illustrious Lord George Mountbatten, God rest his soul.

I very much understand and also share your disgust with Gallic politicians, so I will not argue with them either. Instead, I will send my assistant undersecretary to do it.

Your honourable abidance to our treaty is noted.

Lady Mountbatten,

The Republic has noted the action (or lack thereof) of the Union, and the Ministry of Defense has been notified to prepare for proper protocol under Crayter's Military statute and the Treaty of Harris.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs began talks with Gallia after news was released about the signing of the treaty. These talks are still ongoing, and have been our effort to urge the Union to accept the demands laid out by Bretonia on behalf of the signatories. I expect these talks to continue for the time being, during which the Military will proceed at their own discretion.

In service to the Republic.

Lily Ward
Minister of Foreign Affairs
Crayter Republic
