Historic Background

After the Golden Chrysanthеmum's Pretender on the Kusari Throne, commonly referred to as Amaterasu's Light, Child Empress Kimiko Takamitsu was meanly assassinated in 823 AS, large parts of the Golden Chrysanthemums movement entered a deep reformation. In disarray and without distinct spiritual guidance, many Sisters launched random suicide attacks across Kusari in a desperate last act to avenge Amaterasu's Light. During this times of struggle, a relative small cell originally gathered together in the early times of the first Tau war - times of uncertainty and despair for many Kusarians - started to grow into a large branch within the Golden Chrysanthemum movement: The Sisters of Light.

Through the strong influx of new Sisters, the Sisters of Light were forced to rebrand themselves, combining their originally subtle, manipulative stand with a more direct approach. For many years the branch was faring well, enjoying extraordinary wealth, a multitude of successes against foreign and Keiretsu activities, as well as even a short-term successful infiltration of the Republic's government.

However, from late 825 on, the Mistress of Light and her Adepts noticed that their sheer size slowly became a hindrance in many ways to their original ways. In late 828 AS, the Sisters of Light slowly reformed themselves back into their original state, leading most of their newer Sisters back into the mainstream of the Golden Chrysanthemum movement and fading into the endless depths of sunlight themselves once more.

The returning Sisters of Light branch once more relies on subtlety before direct assaults, their methods ranging from behind the scene manipulations and assassination of corporate and other high-profile targets, to harassment of corporate supply lines, preferring hit and run tactics as well as electronic and psychological warfare to a frontal confrontation. They increase their influence through their a wide network of agents working on stations and planetside, planting seeds into the minds of the Kusarian youth and using Cardamine leverage to exercise a certain amount of control over different parties.
Politically, the Sisters of Light fight for the Empire, however their understanding of the Kusari Imperial Government is free of foreign House and Keiretsu influences and led by an Empress as its supreme ruler.

Sisters of Lights goals & objectives

Goals
• Overthrowing the current Emperor and establishing a supreme reignty of an Empress.
• Establishing and securing Kusari's political independence from large corporations, both foreign and at home.
• Shattering the Keiretsu's monopolies and replace them through a wide array of small to mid-sized companies.
• Elimination of gender based discrimination in the Kusarian society.

Permanent objectives
• Securing additional sources of funding and supplies for the Sisters of Light.
• Education of Kusari women about their rights, necessity and means to fight for them.
• Maintaining a friendly relation to the Queen of Bretonia.
• Harassment of Samura and Kishiro shipments, appropriation and destruction of their assets.
• Vastly expanding their network with the aid of the Lane Hackers, both through guidance and technology.
