Bomber Raid

A series of battles in Galileo has threatened one of the Outcast's primary cardamine trade routes. With the Outcasts and their allies frustrated in their attempts to smash the defending fleets in a frontal engagement, a new approach is warranted.

The Malta Hyperspace Starfleet has received intelligence that an unescorted Libertonian capital ship will be travelling from Planet Gunnison to Planet Denver on its way to support the defenses in Galileo. They have arranged to sabotage a trade lane ring along that route, which will not only disrupt the lane, but disable the target's cruise engines.

At the same time, the Outcasts will deploy a force of Fighters and Bombers on a flanking maneuver through Kepler along with their local allies to attack the stricken capital ship.

Intelligence expects heavy fighter defense from local patrols, but the chance to destroy an isolated capital ship is worth the risk.

The battle will be fought in the Galileo system. The unlawful strike force will start at the Kepler Jump hole. The stricken Libertonian ship will be stranded in D4. The Libertonian fighters will start at Planet Gunnison.
