Bonjour,
you may or may not know me as former Directeur of GSB. I am now ranking Amiral in Gallic Defense Authority, a successor organization to both GSB and MNG you were familiar before. It come to our attention that there is a semi-sentient mechanical species called as 'Gammu AI' deep within the Omicrons. We see any kind of unattented AI as a threat to us and we need to prepare countermeasures against in case of any future complications. In order to do that - we need to acquire several complete samples of their 'vessels' and weaponry to calibrate our sensors, defensive systems and weaponry accordingly. Since Order's quest is monitoring these treats for the sake of humanity and you know Omicrons better than we do, maybe you can lend us a hand in some form of mutual cooperation. We do not want a working specimen due to safety reasons, but - for the purpose of this analysis - all we need are parts in total of three specimens of each kind of most common vessels they field. Are you interested in this form of cooperation? End of Message
RE: TO: Order| HC; From: GDA - Omicron - 12-02-2021 ![]() Gammu AI Good to hear from you. Admiral it is now? Very well.
We are able to accommodate your request, and are familiar with these ‘Gammu AI’ specimens you talk about. Majority of their assets compose of fighters - approximately super heavy or freighter chassis equivalent - and a cruiser. Before we proceed any further, it is best to clarify the expectations of the Gallic Defense Authority to avoid any potential misunderstandings in the near future. Anything we could potentially supply in regards to their internals would be disabled wreckage and inert materials at best. They are fully autonomous and cannot be disabled and dismantled remotely without resorting to violence. If you are satisfied with the implications of quality of salvage, I believe we can arrange samples of hulls we come across. It may perhaps satisfy your need to study Gammu specific emissions, signature and future live fire weapon testing. What I can offer straight out of the box are samples of externally mounted equipment. I am talking about weapon systems carried by their smaller drones. Those had served us in determining Gammu energy signatures, what kind of damage we can expect as well as general effectiveness of our current armor plating and countermeasures. They fire and can be used in laboratory conditions, however any practical reproduction or application of existing examples into human designs is financially prohibitive, not even mentioning engineering hell our buro’s would have to go through to accommodate technology that was never meant to be compatible with human industrial standards. Besides those considerations, we are ready to assist in a joint endeavour involving Gallic and Order scientists alike as soon as it is feasible. Grand Admiral Golanski,
I'm afraid the Director is temporarily out of reach. It is good to see that you are still the leader of the Order, we have heard that the situation in Omicrons is becoming more chaotic. Is that true? However, back to the topic of AI. Our main interest is in their processors and software: we are interested in their code, their algorithms and everything related to their collective intelligence. Their armour and weapons may be superior to ours, but we are not willing to waste resources on inherently incompatible technology: our technology is barely compatible with your reactors, let alone a race of machines as distinct as the Gammu AI. The cooperation of our scientists will probably bring results in the study of this race, but are you prepared to share with us all the data that you possess? End of Message
