Monsieur Vicci, is it?
My name is Antonin de Lusignan, Marechal of the Austrasia sub-sector of the Gallic Union. It is a pleasure to meet a researcher who has worked so hard to gain recognition in the Gallic Union and has succeeded in this endeavour.
I have watched the development of your organisation with some interest - it is quite rare for independent researchers to survive without being consumed up by house or inter-house corporations, but still my interest is rather personal than national - if you suspect me of trying to recruit you for Gallic service.
I am interested in the mapping services you offer, but more about detecting natural and man-made phenomena rather than creating maps of entire systems: but before I go any further, I need to know if you are interested in this kind of work. Are you?

Had to do a double take there. Gallia? No wonder the source signature looks unfamiliar.
Greetings, Antonin de Lusignan. You can call me Leon, Monsieur Vicci sounds too formal for my liking. It's quite an honor to get the attention of someone from the Gallic Union, especially someone who has followed my work so closely. When it comes to operating without being consumed by bigger authorities, I suppose operating out of the independent worlds helps us. Being a little too far out from Kusari or Liberty to have them think of absorbing our assets, lack of a better phrase. We're proud to have lasted this long. Our contact with Gallia has been minimal, but since we're here, I'm happy to make the most of it.
Our mapping services are done by our scouting and cartography pilot Halpert Kennedy. We're interested, though you say you're not after our Map-Data service... so what are you after specifically?

Baxter-type anomalies: location of existing or recently decayed ones, information about their nature and origin, any kind of theories that has sufficient scientific justification to comply with. Can you do this for sufficient payment?

Baxter-Type Anomaly... I have a feeling I know what you're talking about. Let me find an image from one of our reports and attach it. A bright light in space, pulsing and warping, then disappearing once it's reached the end of it's life? If it is indeed what you're looking for, Halpert has found four locations in Sirius. Once confirmed and payment discussed, we can start to make preparations to gather data on them.

Monsieur Vicci,
You are talking only about existing anomalous areas while I'm having in mind those that recently decayed or even ancient ones that had a lot of observation records made during their existence. Do you understand that my task is not that simple as mapping a system?

I will take over this inquiry. My name is Albert McKenzie, science officer of the Starfliers.
Leon knows some, but not much of what you are asking about, Mr. Lusignan. Recently, we've discovered these Anomalies, and I cannot blame him for thinking that this is what you were wanting information about. I understand what you are after, and we can organise one of our research vessels to start pinpointing these decayed Baxter-Type Anomalies. It has recently come to our attention that similar "lights in space" have been seen in a handful of sectors across Sirius. I am researching a cluster of these in the Omega Border Worlds, with this information I will pinpoint any locations hiding degraded anomalies.
At this time, I do not think we will need any compensation for this research. My task is to record as much as I can about these anomalies. Your request perfectly aligns with my job and I see no issue releasing this information to you. Time is needed to make an adequate report, I hope you understand. Do reciprocate a response, I'll be waiting.

Monsieur McKenzie,
I understand. I hope the time given was enough for you to collect data to show me your reputation is not vain advertisement?

Mr. Lusignan, you'll find that scientific journeys cannot be rushed. Even if they are ones of a simple nature, my team and I are not willing to cut corners. Recently we have acquired a Corvo-Class vessel. In addition to getting used to how the ship works, we are also learning how to optimally record the information from these Baxter-Type Anomalies with this craft.
We are underway moving from system to system to build a database on these anomalies. New and old, we will inevitably find them and record everything we can about them. I shall give you access to these reports under no charge. Since this kind of information may help other organisations understand the cosmos to a higher degree, I don't feel it's morally justified to profit from it.
The server on board Starflier Base that houses these reports as an access signal, one that is open to you. If the information there is not to your satisfaction, I would suggest being a little patient whilst my team compiles the mountains of info to publish future reports.
