Good day Don,

I'm going to start and make these reports a bit more frequent and in writing... as you mentioned during our last meeting... as it can be a bit difficult to track all of these activities without a bit of a paper trail... as insecure as it might be...

One of our New London assets managed to make contact and was successful in establish communications between myself and the GC- of Shikoku.

Whether or not our discussions will be supportive of our efforts, I can't say at this point.

Other elements in motion and dependent on response from parties contacted. Our direction and intensity level will be determined by replies here.

Rumors are being investigated of several other groups of loose or independent affiliation that might affect our desired outcome. These variable will be assessed and incorporated in the general strategy should it be deemed necessary.

Good day Don,

Progress continues towards our efforts. Major hurdles in infrastructure are being overcome daily while other avenues still require more attention.

Our independent operative was able to meet at the assigned location in Omicron Delta to discuss our operations. My gut feelings about this group are good so far - they seem to work well in 'dark' environments and even had many suggestions for improving our plans. They have requested 3 ships to add the efforts - which I have had located, purchased and docked at our facilities outside of typical commercial shipyards without arousing any attention to the nature of the purchases. My apologies for the redacted communications log, Don, but you know how these ops go, and how I enjoy employing 'low-tech' solutions to counter high-tech espionage.

My efforts to engage GC's help in the Kusari area so far have been met with mistrust and non-response, despite all support for their operations that Interspace Commerce has provided over the years. I don't blame them - they engage in a game where your friend can just as easily turn enemy the next day, thus their reliance on Cardamine for their recruits. I'll advise should this foray into relations with their faction yield any further results.

My sources also keep bringing up a larger group of networked independents that seem to maintain at least neutral ties to a multitude of groups, both lawful and otherwise. I'm hesitant, still gathering information here on their operations. I'm holding off on this next step to ensure we have some value-add to offer so we aren't going to them, hat-in-hand, at a disadvantage, and to ensure they are the right fit for our endeavor.

Good day Don,

Things are going well, with some construction efforts reaching milestones.

There is one concerning report I've been investigating regarding crew involved in an encounter with Alien craft in the Frankfurt area. The crew report strange sensations during the encounter that subsided afterwards but left lingering mental effects that forced us to place them all on indefinite leave pending psychological assessment. The ship required a whole new crew to resume its supply duties.

I've posted the log of the encounter below. I'll work on a protocol to avert these affects with our science team upon further examination of the affected crew.

No luck in engaging GC's help in the Kusari area . In fact they seemed so focused on their hatred of one sole Samura miner in one of our latest Security Records that I'm not sure how long term strategies would work here. Disruption by existing chaos caused in Kusari by their drug operations will have to suffice. I don't plan to continue pursuing this line of communication any further.

There are still a few avenues of diplomacy I've yet to tap to see how we can help each do our undercover efforts to advance the business. Hopefully they bear fruit at best, or seed some directed conflict, at the right groups, at worst.

Quick update today, just to touch base on operations.

I've been in contact again with our enterprising Freelancer - some changes to the plan, but in a good way, possibly increasing profitability overall through reduced expenses and exposure. A bit of development will be required, but nothing the tech boys and gals can't handle.

Going over the security reports we also receive, the systems have been fairly quiet as of late. It's given me some much needed downtime to think clearly and re-focus efforts on the important areas. That's as much of a vacation as I choose to take these days - you know I'd rather be working! Idle hands and minds!

Our route captains report meeting a Corsair in the Rheinland area that seemed more interested in further discussions than just the average piracy demands.

Some bad news on our discrete 'cloud' operations.

Staffing complications required a termination of the program. The Freelancer has been advised and assisted with the closure. LINK

I'll take the blame solely for this one - the remote location did not permit me the visitation that appeared to have been necessary to ensure loyalty to the work. I think at some point being that far out in space without seeing stars makes everyone a little stir crazy. Unfortunately the nature of the work did not permit more crew for the required rotations to keep morale at optimum levels.

Lesson learnt and noted for future - all records, personnel, resources, and structures involved with this endeavor have been wiped from existence.

The Freelancer may still be useful for future projects - he's been well paid and advised we will be in touch should his services and that of his group be required.

I keep running into these Freelancers who are available for helping our efforts.

While returning from our base in Gallia, my trade lane was interrupted just past Planet Kyushu on the way to the New Tokyo gate. An interesting way to begin a conversation, I agree. He's part of an organization that does investigations, escorts, and sorted missions on their clients' behalf - no questions asked, I'm told.
