Liberty forces have been busy in their Kansas and Vespucci conquest so much that the small freighter convoys have been able to sneak through Pennsylvania under the LPI’s nose unnoticed, hauling construction parts and materials to some unknown destination in Driftwood and returning back to their base with yet another set of parts and materials.

While the authorities might have been oblivious to their activity, their main rivals, the Junkers, weren’t and they have been staging their ambush. Trying to follow Bristol ships into Driftwood was a fruitless suicide, but ambushing them before they got into the field wasn’t. The Junkers prepared their pirating party at Allentown with a few Rogues who tagged along, never missing an opportunity for a good catch.

The Bristol convoy ZG-55 was on its way to the repair site at Lansdale, but as they approached Driftwood, a pack of unknown ships were on an intercept course and approaching quickly. The convoy leader managed to alert a nearby Xeno patrol and ask for their help, but there was no time to run now - they were fighting for their own dear lives.
