[Official Event] Convergence on Manhattan - Garrett Jax - 06-20-2022
The following commodity buff will incorporate a Combat Event between seven different factions. The results of which will be tallied at the end of the event. The seven groups are as follows:
Group One: Outcasts
Outcast ID, HS>Hyperspace Starfleet
Group Two: Corsairs
Corsair ID, DTR, [TBH]
Group Three: Junkers
Junker ID, .:J:. Junker Congress
Group Four: Coalition
Coalition ID, SCRA
Group Five: Unioners
Unioner ID, Unioner Player Faction ID once setup
Group Six: Unione Corse
UC/-, Unione Corse ID
Group Seven: Liberty Lawfuls
Liberty Police ID, LPI-, =LSF=, Liberty Security Force ID, 46th|, 5th|, Liberty Navy ID
/restart EventLPI-1 will provide a fully kitted LPI Light Fighter.
/restart EventLPI-2 will provide a fully kitted LPI Freighter.
The Rules
The six unlawful groups are in competition with each other to see who can deliver the most contraband to the landing site in Manhattan. The Liberty Police will have a base setup above Fort Bush where they can sell any contraband they seize. Remember, transports cannot dock on the landing site, only freighters. All unlawful factions will be able to haul Kidnapped VIP's on the return trip. Considering the time and danger of these routes, the prices have been increased from previous event rates. This event is not canon and no RP consequences will result from actions taken during this event, including FR5's. Unlawful Forces, normally allied, may shoot each other for the duration of this event. As always, RP and fair play is encouraged.
ZOI is extended to all unlawfuls for the duration of this event. This means that a member of one group will not have to wait to be shot before attacking a member of another group while in Liberty or if encountering an unlawful carrying event commodity anywhere in Sirius, no matter what their ID restrictions might be. Remember to RP and provide reasonable time for a response.
The Trade Event consists of six different trade routes all going to Planet Manhattan landing site and all paying equally when taking the bonus into account. The trade routes include:
Cardamine from Planet Malta, in Omicron Alpha
Artifacts from Planet Crete, in Omicron Gamma
Nox from Planet Marseille, in Provence
Sorted Artifacts from Liner Brixton, in Languedoc
Volgograd Ordinance from Mykolaiv Research Station, in Omega 52
Blood Diamonds from Leipheim Base, in Munich
Kidnapped VIP's can be bought from Manhattan Landing Site and sold back equally at each individual base mentioned above.
The Kidnapped VIP's are not included in the event plugin. Only the commodities sold at Manhattan will count.
Each kill from one respective group upon another will result in a 10.000.000 credit award and a point added to their kill tally.
Other groups may participate in this event, but the credit awards and points will only count toward the participating groups.
Normal Server Rules apply regarding making demands of a transport.
Confiscated contraband will be sellable by LPI only at Sunbucks Cafe, a base yet to be constructed. This base will be located above Fort Bush. The prices will be set to encourage interdiction.
The winner of the event is the group that hauls the most contraband.
Rules are subject to change prior to, and or, during the event.
Rewards
The faction that hauls the most commodity will get: A 30 day one week commodity buff of their choice + OF user title
The Player that hauls the most commodity will get: 100 Sci Data + Forum User Title + Thruster
The Player that gets the most kills will get: 100 Sci Data + Forum User Title + Thruster
Event starts on server restart Friday

Outcasts HS> Hyperspace Starfleet ID will pick commodity and faction user title
Corsairs DTR will pick commodity and faction user title
Unione Corse UC/- The Unione Corse will pick commodity and faction user title
Unioners Unioner faction leader will pick commodity and faction user title

Leipheim is Unioner, not Hessian. Sad. Thought there was gonna be a Hessian smuggling bit. Blood Diamond is more their thing.

I missed the Unioners during the Omega Wars event a few weeks ago. I wanted to include them. Their base indicated that Red Hessians ran Blood Diamonds through there and although it might be a reach in RP, I made the call so I could include them.

Well, I'm not married to Blood Diamonds. If there is a better contraband commodity out there, I'd entertain using it.

Well, I'm not married to Blood Diamonds. If there is a better contraband commodity out there, I'd entertain using it.
Unioners interdict Blood Diamonds and pawn them off, they are the secondary, and by far inferior marketer of the commodity. Doesn't mean you couldn't still have them do that, but that's why you see a mention of it. Those two groups hate each other.

nice, a new event! what about ZoI, though? Corsairs have no ZoI in liberty. while they scan smuggle there, fighting is on thin ice. don't want to fall into "baiting" if I bring escorts - or I am the escort. Maybe the ZoI is extended for the duration of the event?

Just to clarify, does this mean only for the kills or does this include the trading bonuses as well? Most of my smugglers traders are Freelancer Tagged and ID'ed.

Isn't necessary, you can defend your transports of the same ID in anything smaller than a cruiser by server rules without ZOI required
