It was an import, so the model was replaced. Moddb probably has an outdated picture of the ship. Your link also appears to be broken.

Discovery no longer accepts imports, and the current ones are place holders until we can re-work new models for them. You will not be seeing the Viper, or any other BSG ships for that matter, in this mod after we're done. The Viper MK I, now known as the Charon, which is sold on the Freeport in Magellan, is still the imported model. But even that will be replaced sooner or later.

Ahh, so that's why my Nyx (or however you spell it) looks so different from the Mark II. Not that it's a bad thing though. It's just different.
