The door creaked open, the hinges shrieking in their pain as they strained once more after a hundred years of rest. Green light poured into the room but yet tainted by a darkness, a shadow.
There he stood.
A man.
A beast.
A raging inferno of all that hopes and dreams can achieve when they fail. His eyes blazed with the fury of the hopeless, the cold justice of a dream now long dead.
He did not speak, nor did he move.
He simply stood.
