Zoner Security Council to Meet on Freeport 1 to Discuss Erie Occupation

Freeport 1 - Omega 3 - Rumors are flying that the Zoner Security Council (ZSC) will be meeting on Freeport 1 to discuss the ongoing occupation of Erie by the Liberty Government. The meeting is expected to take place later this week, and it is unclear what the ZSC will decide.

Some hope that the ZSC will issue an ultimatum to the Liberty Government, demanding that they return Erie to the status quo. Others point out that unless all voting members of the ZSC agree on a course of action, there is likely to be no results at all.

The ZSC is made up of representatives from Omicron Supply Industries, Starlight Research Consortium, and Phoenix. The Council has the power to authorize military action, but it has never done so before. In order to pass a resolution, all voting members must agree. This means that even if the majority of the Council members want to issue an ultimatum to the Liberty Government, they may not be able to do so if one or more members refuse to agree.

The occupation of Erie has been a source of tension between the Liberty Government and the Zoner Community. The Liberty Government claims that they are occupying Erie to root out insurgent forces. The Zoners believe that the Liberty Government has violated the Treaty by occupying Erie and not following established procedures to determine guilt and extradition.
