Bonjour.

I do not know who, if anyone, will pick up this... shot in the dark, i suppose.
I must confess my knowledge of the intricacies of my home has become outdated from the years. But, allow me to introduce myself, from which i expect you will be able to dredge my familial records with some ease.

My name is Éléanor Véronique d'Aubigny. Some years ago i was Countess d'Aubigny, daughter of a minor family of nobility with a number of accounts and small though self sufficient businesses and estates across Gallic space. I expect my current appearance is quite removed from any imagery on record of myself from those times.

I joined the Militaire during the invasion of Sirius, holding an officer rank aboard a Destroyer, not a Capitaine, to clarify, merely a bridge officer. I prefer not to speak much of this times, the vessel i served aboard was destroyed following the... Leeds, the event at Leeds. A mess. I will speak of it no further.

During the crisis that swept Gallia following those matters, i... left. I would not kill other Gallic people, an action i am sure will earn me the monitor of a coward or traitor, i imagine my records of the time state nothing less.
I will not justify my choice further than that, an unwillingness to slaughter my own people over such madness. The entire affair goes against the very spirit and duty of the Nobility.
Noblesse Oblige. Obligation beyond simple blood and lineage. Nobility are supposed to bear social responsibility to their people. Responsibility other elements of the Royal Government failed to uphold.

However, i am tired. I have been gone for so long, stuck amongst the drudging edge of Sirian life, and things appear, i will not say stable, but at least the warring has ended, save a few exceptions.

Before i left to join the Navy, many of my families estates and accounts had been placed into various trusts and states of maintenance.
I wish to return to Gallia, and claim my familial estates, accounts and small businesses, should they remain intact. They are not much, my family and i were no controlling force of the Royal Government, a handful of planetary endeavours.
I will not ask for reinstatement of my prior status amongst the Navy, nor even for recognition of my service. I have no right to ask either of those.

With that state, i state my request plainly. Is it possible that i may return. Back to Gallia. Back to being Countess d'Aubigny, for what little that means in these days. To some semblance of civilisation.

I await your answer. Should it ever come.
Thank you for your time.

Madame Éléanor Véronique d'Aubigny.
