Veracruz is lost. Knight is gone. Escape is survival.

After withstanding months upon months of ceaseless sieging, combat, and death, the foundation of the Insurgency is finally crumbling beneath the weight of the Liberty Navy's assault. While the destruction of the Delaware and her accompanying battlegroup brought a glimmer of hope to the defenders, this only seemed to fill the remaining recruits of the Ohio with a vengeance not seen since the Battle of New London.

After two prior waves of escaping warships fled through Magellan, catching the Navy and LSF off guard, now comes time for the final push of Gladius' forces through the awaiting blockade. With intelligence provided by the Insurgency's enemies, as well as anticipation of further groups trying to flee the carnage, Lehigh and her accompanying Navy reinforcements are prepared to lay waste to the Insurgency's remaining forces in one final clash. Official orders from the Navy's top brass is no mercy, and no captives.
"Remember the Delaware."

This is a cap event. Snubcraft of any kind and gunboats will not be able to participate.

The lawful forces will be made up of the Liberty Navy and the Liberty Security Force. The Bretonian Armed Forces and BIS are allowed to register, but priority will be given to Liberty-based factions.
Lawfuls will gather at Cordova Shipping Platform/Battlecruiser Lehigh in Magellan.

The unlawful forces will be made up solely of the Liberty Insurgency. Other unlawfuls or quasi-lawfuls will not be allowed to participate.
Some slots will be pre-assigned on the unlawful side, so extra slots can be made in case of high turnout.
Unlawfuls will gather at Marshall Reconstruction Site in Vespucci.

The Insurgency, once gathered and prepared, will move towards the Magellan jump hole. Once through, they will attempt to cross the no man's land between the fields. Once within scanner range of lawfuls, the fight will commence.

The outcome of this event will shape post-Insurgency roleplay almost in its entirety. It is highly requested that players on either side record for posterity.
Barring developer involvement, this will be the last time these two sides clash before the fall of Veracruz.

The event will take place on Saturday, August 26th at 20:00 UTC.

All technology is valid for this event, including equipment and ships. Cloaking devices in particular are also allowed.

As this is a PvP event, fleeing from the combat zone will be counted as PvPDeath. Given the nature of the event, ships may regardless attempt to flee.
Lawful players, while not required, are asked to disengage with any ship that flees within the Barrier.

Only registered ships may participate in this event. Non-registered ships or ships in reserve are required to keep a reasonable distance from the event. Camera ships are, of course, free to act however they need in order to film or observe.

Insurgency forces, arriving in Magellan, crossed into the no-man's land, and soon had sight on the Liberty garrison holding the area on lockdown. Despite months of attrition and losses in Vespucci, Insurgency forces pressed the attack. Despite being prepared for the Insurgency's arrival, Naval forces were routed, and soon pulled back into Liberty-held points in California.

With the Navy ambush countered, and their pathway clear of danger, Insurgency forces dispersed into the Barrier, free to make for the rendezvous point as planned.
