Event Background.
Months have passed since Liberty's assault on planet Erie due to the so called presence of Insurgent refugees, a response many Zoners have denounced as significantly disproportional. Ever since that faithful day, the quality of life of Zoners in Liberty has worsened; rebelious Zoners picked up arms against those who they saw as oppressors and Liberty was all too eager to condemn all Zoners for their 'violent ways'. News of this abuse of power has slowly made its way throughout Sirius, galvanizing the various Zoner communities throughout the Sector to show that this kind of treatment could not and would not stand.
Deep in the Omicrons Zoner ships have been seen moving towards the Omicron Kappa system, though sporadic at first the number of sightings have increased dramatically in recent days. Now a large fleet stands of Zoner vessels stand ready; Cruisers, Carriers and even several suspiciously and, presumably, retrofitted Nephilim Colony ships have gathered at Livadia Shipyard. The gathered vessels are running through drills, their crews are being trained in various capital class weaponry and from the depths of the Corinth Research Annex of the shipyard preparations are being made to jump the fleet straight into the heart of Liberty; it was time to make a statement.
Event rules.
- Have fun.
- Don't be a jerk.
- Keep in mind this is a (mostly) silly community event before the patch.
- You can register if you want to show dedication/solidarity to a side if you want but keep in mind this is not a registration event.
- We start at 17:00 UTC so there's no risk of player death counter issues for players who want to participate in The Last Man Out Liberty vs Insurgency event.
General rules.
Standard PvP rules apply. Stay in the fight, no restocking, no running to hug solars.
Equipment rules - No kidnapping via Jump Drive (you know who you are).
Location: Right on top of Planet Manhattan (ideally outside of PoB range)
All Liberty police/navy/lsf and Zoner ID's are encouraged to join.
Additional slots will be added if more people sign up to rep a side. Ship classes will be adjusted as well.
