Escort mode i svery usefull but there are any problems with it.

Escort mode disable when you pass a JumpGate... why??? It should be stay so you won't lose time to put it ON again every time you JUMP. So you'll just have to activate Cruise Speed and the other ship in Escort will follow you!
Do you understand what I mean?

It's the same with Dock at station or planet: the ship I was escorting docked on Tokyo, I was away from keyboard and inspite of docking on the planet automatically, I just crashed into it... when I respawned I was on Berlin... cool, I lost 20min !!!

So, is there a way to fix it in the next version of Disco?
Thanks.

I dont know if Igiss can fix it. I think it is just a bug that is hard coded into the game.

That is something that can't be fixed I believe as that is hard coded and really cant be touched. If you want to get agitated point to the lazy developers who really did "a half butt game".

It's a game limitation. It's inside the EXE as part of the behaviour of the game. Without the source code to recompile the app, it can't be corrected.

It'd be really nice if all the the exe was open for editing. And, we had the source code. But i guess microsoft didnt care. :(

You can open the exe for editing. But the code is in assembler, not the C++ language in which freelancer was written. And a program like FL in assembler has several million lines of code.
