The Gallic Union will soon celebrate the full six years of its existence. We have now decidedly left the initial transitionary period. The Confederacy and Royal Gallia are now a distant memory. The Gallic Union and its values of order, incorruptibility, strength, equality and pride in Gallia reign supreme. With these steps, we no longer have to compromise, and the Gendarmerie would like to relay to all visitors and citizens of our House Space the new Legal Framework we now all operate in.

Changes to the Laws of the Gallic Union
The new wording can be found here. Alongside simplification come regulations that move our House closer to law and order. Forbidden are smuggling commodities and drugs such as Nox and Cardamine, but also Gaian Wildlife or Hessian Tears. After the disaster in Brittany, where an Alien wave swept throughout the system and destroyed a system that was once the pride of Gallia and the Gallic Hebrides, the Gallic Union began to be wary of objects and artefacts of unknown origin, and they have been forbidden across the board without the possibility of gaining a licence. Gallia no longer tolerates political crime, such as undermining the Gallic Union or using overt Gallic royal title prefixes such as Viscount or Duke.

Citizens and visitors are encouraged to report any lawbreakers in the Gendarmerie Public Reporting System. for potential rewards.

Licence changes
Since three years have passed and laws and the political landscape have changed dramatically, all licences and allowances have been deemed outdated besides Legacy Modular Installation licences. Those who have paid nearly nearly 10,000,000 over their lifespan have carried over their lifetime licence. There are two "legacy" installations that have a grace period until next year to be transitioned under the new licensing scheme -Riviera Resort and Montpellier Depot which this will impact. There are new licence fees for Modular Installations introduced that citizens should study. We urge all unlicensed bases within Gallia to come forward and apply for a licence . Widespread sweeps will be undertaken for any illegal bases, and you may face fines or even destruction if you fail to apply for a licence.

Licences for Restricted Cargo and Equipment will be soon reset and will have to be confirmed and re-applied for into the Permits and Licence Registry

All allowances from treaties and agreements will also be deemed outdated, and practical implications of agreements and treaties will have to be submitted by the Gallic Law Enforcement or Government and listed in the registry to have practical effect.

Gendarmerie changes
Many of you may have noticed the upgrades to Gallic Tradelanes - the EFL worked hard over the last three years, and these upgrades have allowed Gendarmerie to monitor the network, and we will soon have access to traffic information across Gallia in real time, alongside the right to deny docking to lawbreakers and smugglers.


The Duty of our citizens
By entering Gallia the burden is on you to be familiar with our laws. We welcome lawful traders, explorers, vacationers and diplomats to our budding house, these laws are here for your protection, so you can feel safe and secure when you enter our glorious Gallia.

Appendix 1: Provence
To lighten our load, law enforcement in Provence is under joint jurisdiction with the Unione Corse, who are responsible for all maintenance and security duties and costs related to the newly built trade lane network in the system. In short, the Gendarmerie do not have Provence network monitoring capability, nor the same law enforcement executive power we hold in Core Gallic Worlds, and any grievances should be directed at the Unione Corse governorship within the system rather than the Gendarmerie.

Appendix 2: Languedoc - Tau 23 restriction
Effective immediately, access to the Languedoc-Tau23 jump gate and its adjacent trade lane is restricted to Gallic law enforcement agencies and Gallic corporations only. All other civilians are prohibited from entering this zone until further notice.

This measure has been put in place by the Gallic Union to enhance security and keep out undesirable elements from the dangerous and chaotic houses of Kusari and Bretonia. Any unauthorized entry will be treated as a serious breach of security protocols and will be met with swift and decisive action.

Gallic Corporations (EFL, IDF Shipping, GMS) and Kusarian Visitors

We have been informed that following the assaults on the Convoy of Rheinland's Emperor, Gallic Corporations' security arms require legal access to more powerful protective technologies. The following amendment is in place in the Restricted Equipment section:

Responding in kind to Kusari
Due to legal amendment in Kusari Law:
