Is there a shortcut ingame for taking screen shots that doesn't require having to hit the print screen, pasting into paint, and saving it to the location you want? (that process is just to long if you are trying to record something like a quick paced conversation)

Whenever you're in game and you press the Print Screen button, a screenshot is saved in your documents folder. ( Pictures/Freelancer Shots)

Uhh... For me any SS I take in game auto saves into FreelancerShots in My Pictures again inside My Documents. I'm not sure if I set that up myself forever ago, or if that's how it sets up in default... I'll do some research on that.

EDIT: Yeah, it's default setup. Straight up. Recommend a dedicated hunt through your "My docs" folder.

Ok, I see the file now. The next question is: is there anyway to change where they are saved to?

Well, it just saves to the FreelancerShots folder, so I guess you could move it to wherever you want, once again, I'll pull a test since I never saw a need to move it.

EDIT: I lied... It only saves in My Pics. My bad.

I doubt there is.. but you can use a program like Fraps, and it will save the screenshots wherever and in whatever format you'd like. And you can assign any key for taking them.

I just don't want it mixed with all my step-dads files (it's his computer after all, and if he finds my littering it with random stuff, i'll be kicked off for a while)

The bad thing is, it uses BMP files so remember to clean it every once in a while or it gets HUGEEE in means of file size.

I'd say FRAPS or X-Fire screenshots would serve you better insofar that you can choose where they go.

yea Xfire is great now.
