I will briefly summarize the events of the day in chronological order for the sake of oversight.
I was on a patrol encompassing the New-Berlin, Stuttgart and Omega-7 systems. It started off by scanning cargo vessels carrying the usual silver holds.
Eventually, I met up with an Oder-class corvette ("Rubezahl") from the MND alongside with corrupted/non-calibrated transponder. Its captain claimed that there was a Zoner capital-class vessel on the loose in Stuttgart system. However, we were unable to locate any sign of it and concluded that the alleged reports were faulty.


We proceeded to return to the New-Berlin system, heading for Planet New-Berlin, while he asked me how the Military handled the IMG situation. I took the opportunity to point out that his collegue, a bomber pilot operating under the callsign 'Brunnling' considered the IMG a threat. Instead of dimissing the outlandish claim, he sternly suggested that parts of the MND consider IMG a real threat to Rheinland national security. According to the information available to me, Aland shipyard was destroyed and IMG's presence in Omega-7 subsequently weakened. Although, admittedly, they are not Rheinlanders.

On the other side of the gate we ran into two ships:
Frau Direktorin from the Büro des Marinenachrichtendienstes and a Freelancer under the name 'Caliban'.


Note how BOTH of them were flying a 90-ARKM-N9!
Later on, I managed to confirm that there was no license that would relieve 'Caliban' of §2.3.1. and that the Direktor of the BDM failed to enforce Rheinland law in this specific instance.

During our flight back to Planet New-Berlin, I told the captain of the Rubezahl that this Freelancer using restricted technology in the presence of the Direktor was a peculiar sight.
He, however, proceeded to defend 'MND business'. I still cannot believe that the MND would not even share the most mundane detail to Military personnel on site.

What if we arrest someone important to the MND?
If the person in question is concealed from the Military, does this mean the BDM and MND are investigating the Military itself?
What if MND is just giving away technology for no reason?
Transparency would prevent these doubts.

When having arrived in orbit of New-Berlin, he introduced himself to me.


Rubezahl transmitted the following unverified credentials to me:

Due to the secretive mission of the department, I was unable to verify the existance of the department itself.
With such little available information, one can only hope the LSF did not take over the MND completely.
After all the Büro being in contact with a Freelancer illegally using Rheinland technology and unknown technology and an MND
Oder from an entirely different department covering this up does raise eyebrows, though suspicions increased with time!

I continued to hail the Freelancer and commence an inspection to find out whether he owned a license for the vessel or not and began questioning.


Note that the only request somewhat fitting the description is an anonymous one that had been denied years ago.
Since the Direktor clearly tolerated his presence, I figured I could lie about the license having been granted, in order to acquire more information from the MND.

After having 'cleared' the irregularities and 'giving him and the MND the benefit of the doubt', the MND vessel interestingly started to question 'Caliban''s involvement with Frau Direktorin of the BDM, despite the fact that he backed it up earlier. It appeared I was not the only one left in the dark.

This is roughly when the situation somewhat derailed and I got the serious impression that there was an MND infighting taking place between this 'Stulingen Special Unit' and the 'BDM'. 'Stulingen Special Unit' investigating the 'BDM' activity implies that MND cannot even trust itself. As such I will no longer fully trust MND operatives, as their motives are unknown and they try to conceal those at every opportunity at any time.

After all, the captain of the Rubezahl attempted to bribe 'Caliban' to obtain information about his involvement with the Direktor herself.


I kept pressing him about whether the Direktor checked him in regards to his vessel and its restriction. He refused to give a sensible answer.
But our conversation was interrupted by a Rheinland Military system-wide distress call informing the entire system about an active Hessian cruiser. Unfortunately, despite the MND's and Military's and 'Caliban''s offered efforts (he requested payment), the cruiser managed to escape into the the Bonn->Brandenburg trade lane, abort trade lane sequence mid-lane and flee into the Saarfeld.


After the chase was over and the Hessian vessel unfortunately got away, we moved back to Planet New-Berlin. Rubezahl proceeded to Frankfurt for no given reason, further increasing suspicions on my end. I did not attempt to follow him, instead I tried to convince 'Caliban' to release information that would then allow me to accurately determine whether his vessel has an informal legal status or none. I did so by attempting a more extensive bribe.


However being greedy as he apparently is, he demanded an even bigger financial incentive as initially anticipated, which I offered for good or ill.

Suddenly, allegedly in order to make sure I am human, he would now escort me to Freeport 11, Omicron Delta, Edge Worlds. This was completely unexpected, since it would deprive me of any possible reinforcements and constitute a breach of protocol. I was under the impression that he referred to Freeport 8, Sigma-15 instead. However I had to continue following him, given the fact that I had already invested considerable time and effort just to convince him to give up any information. We encountered an, at the time, wanted offender vessel of subversive conduct: Cipriano.Adimari, a Freelancer. 'Caliban' insisted to keep distance from that individual as he allegedly is highly dangerous. (A fact that later turned out to be true).
Moreover, he asked for an initial partial payment for basic information, which he would relay to me while we continued on our way to Omicron Delta.

Across the way we were tailed by Cipriano.Adimari and some Alien vessels. None of them had managed to intercept us though.


The recordings after unfortunately were corrupted by the N-41 Neutron star in the Omega-41 system later on our way back to Rheinland space.
Only older entries were preserved to a degree that restoration was successful.
Some of the missing elements have been replaced with memory logs.
The following events cannot be backed up by recordings.

After docking at Freeport 11, 'Caliban' exited his vessel and showed me to his examination room containing a device of unknown origin. This device alongside a blood-sample was used to determine whether I am an alien or not. The results, unsurprisingly, turned out to be negative. The conversation we had during the examination was of trifling nature.
However, he did point out Zoners had trust issues considering a Rheinland cruiser, the RNC-Einbeck allegedly runs havoc in the Edge worlds.

We then each bought a drink (mine was not an alcoholic beverage) and proceeded to undock. I noticed two unread messages sent (while I was busy getting 'examined') encoded with Rheinwehr encryption, which at the time meant that Military personnel knew of my presence in Omicron Delta.

Upon undocking 'Caliban' brought a distant ship to my attention that was flying past Freeport 11 at an comfortable arms length: The RNC-Einbeck itself.
He instructed me to approach the Donau-class vessel and to make detailed scans.
These scans have been lost to the N-41 radiation, however the few glances into the scans I have made revealed it was outfitted with unknown technology not too much unlike Nomad technology. 'Caliban' insisted that the RNC-Einbeck would be a ship operated by Nomad infectees.

Due to the loss of the scans, however, this cannot be verified.

During this pursuit, Military personnel requested my assistance. The person in question identifed herself as: Frieda Voigt, Bootsmann in the Rheinwehr
I ignored the requests, since I believed it to be a ruse at the time.

Eventually, we broke off our pursuit when the Einbeck turned towards a nebula in the Omicron Delta system and proceeded to fly home, to Rheinland space.

The discussion between 'Caliban' and me while travelling through the Omegas home was lost for the most part.
But he did mention that he allegedly is a Nomad hunter/Alien hunter and that the BDM contracted him to hunt down Nomads within Rheinland territory.
He also pointed out that spreading Nomad awareness had the potential to cause panic among alien infiltrators, which would result in the infiltrators destroying evidence.
One of the characteristics of such infiltrators allegedly were 'spoofed transponders', as he calls them. An possible hint towards 'Stulingen Special Unit', though he would later admit he had no idea about them.
He also noted that he has never been granted permission to fly his vessel officially and that he, personally, never attempted to acquire any permission. Despite the BDM's offers to allow him to fly the vessel, he allegedly did not pursue an official permission.
It is also clear now that, since he worked with BDM to counteract Nomad activity in Rheinland, he is most likely important to the BDM's operations.

In accordance with the previous transaction, he also did reveal information to me in the form of SIX QUESTIONS.
Those were explicitely noted down by me, so no loss on that.


Half of the questions were asked while on they way to Omega-7. The other half being asked under close observation by the KKS-Stralsund of the Kaiserliche Rheinwehr in Omega-7, who held me and 'Caliban' under scrutiny, since he flew a Valkyrie. He ended up being escorted out of Rheinland space by me. Undoubtedly, though, he is resuming his BDM mandated activity in Rheinland now. These circumstances did not allow for more detailed questioning. Since I also promised him some intel I know, which in fact I never had or have, I pretended that 'Stulingen Special Unit' were in fact impersonators. A blatant lie, but a solid one, since their transponders do not allow for verification of identity.
My hope is that the counterintelligence MND department and 'Caliban' will continue investigating each other, leaving the Rheinland Military alone.

Afterwards I was being tailed most notably by Cipriano.Adimari again, alongside Frieda.Voigt and Revenant.
Upon having escorted 'Caliban' out of the Omega-7 system, I attempted to lane back to Elbe border fortress only to be disrupted by Cipriano Adimari. I immediately called for reinforcements near my location, while the Freelancer questioned me concerning 'Caliban'. He made allegations against me, such that I followed him to Omicron Delta, which is true, but should not become public. Hence I denied the allegations on the open channel.

Officers Jürgen Schmidt and Werner Roth, me and other Military personnel on site had a discussion near the Omega-7 gate in Stuttgart afterwards. However, since Frieda Voigt and Revenant were nearby, I cut the talks in short by asking Kapitänleutnant Jürgen Schmidt to leave immediately, as their presence was suspicious.
Revenant knew I was present in Omicron Delta and Frieda Voigt contacted me in Omicron Delta. This led me to believe that they might be MND agents, a risk I was unwilling to take.
I partially reported all of these irregularities to Jürgen Schmidt in the Nordnebel, behind Planet Stuttgart. However, that was cut short aswell by Werner Roth's distress signal.

I believe Frieda Voigt, Revenant and Cipriano Adimari might be involved with the MND as a whole and-or be involved with alien entities in Rheinland. They know I deviated from Rheinland space and broke protocol. Moreover, they know had been involved with 'Caliban' and as such tailed me everywhere. Personally, I deem them highly dangerous to Rheinland security.

The following fighting that ensued, aswell as the following unresolved irregularities are known by Officers Jürgen Schmidt and Werner Roth.
These events should be reported by them, as I was acting under their command at the time.
