With the Artifact recovered from The Dig on its way to an uncertain future, four different factions attempt to ensure its safe arrival within their sphere of influence.


Combat Area & Disposition

  • Outcasts and Zoners start at Planet Pygar
  • The Wild start at Battlecruiser Trier
  • The Order start at the Omicron Delta hole in Theta

Objectives
  • The Order and Zoners must convince other humans to hand over the artifact, and destroy any ships that don't comply.
  • The Wild must destroy any ships carrying the artifact to recover it.

  • The Wild must deliver the artifact to Trier.
  • The Order must deliver the artifact to Dabadoru.
  • The Outcasts must deliver the artifact to Ibiza Base.
  • The Zoners must deliver the artifact to Pygar.

Rules
  • Only a Frigate can recover the artifact.
  • The artifact cannot be destroyed (I will ensure this mechanically).
  • Event starts after in-system announcement.
  • Zoners must wait 30 seconds after event start before departing from Pygar.
  • Leaving the event area is not allowed (Theta and parts of Alpha and Delta).
  • Flying above or below plane is not allowed.
  • Event ends when the artifact has made it to a destination.

I'm currently considering beefing up the Wild slots a bit under the assumption that at least some humans will cooperate against them, so don't be surprised by changes in the table.

Don't make the Artifact able to be destroyed. It'll just end up nuked out of spite within the first ten minutes.
Make it an actual round of space capture the flag then.

That actually sounds pretty dank, and so it shall be. The Artifact cannot be destroyed via conventional means (which fits into the overall story we've developed around it).
