I'm just starting on the Discovery server and RP is a bit impossible without an ID.

I was thinking about Liberty Police so I went and got a patriot and outfitted it. Then proceeded to do Police missions, I have done loads and still don't have enough rep for the ID. I will keep grinding though.

A question: What is the fastest way to gain money straight away?
And what is the best ship I am allowed as Liberty Police?

Thanks.

Hey there!

If you are starting from scratch I would strongly suggest that you "mine" (by shooting small asteroids) in the Silverton field in the colorado system or the helium field in the pennsylvania system (behind planet Erie) until you've come to a point where you can establish a trading character.

This will provide you with the required financial largess required in order to fund a functional LPI character.

The Liberty Police, in my own view, as a civilian corporation within Liberty generally do well with civilian line vessels such as the Eagle, Hawk and so on. Though the "standard" vessel for them would be the Liberator or Patriot. I believe the Patriot is for sale on Manhattan, though I don't have the information in front of me.

Grinding missions is good for the eventual rep gain, but poor for credits.

Hope that provided some small help! Now head over to the welcome section and introduce yourself!

What dusteh said, most definitely. If you would also like to become acquainted with some of the members of the community and think you may have more questions in the future you might want to check out the disco help channel (link in my signature).

you could also try shooting down every (npc) liberty rogue/xeno you find

I'll get mining then. Silver sells best on Planet Erie it seems.

My combat style is light fighters. I love the great turning speeds. What's the best that I can use as LPI? And where abouts would I buy one from?

Right, I've got LPI ID and 1 million credits.
I've bought the Hawk and outfitted it..

How's the best way to RP police?
And am I already tagged up?

Starting off with a police/Navy chars wont make you credits... They do not profit in any way.. i mean i dont see why they should not be able to get their own job board.. not a bounty hunt but a "You keep liberty safe= You get credits" But to get credits fast starting from nothing would be
Starfflee mines helium (repeat till have a rhino)
rhino either starts trading or mines something... helium or what ever you can find.
and keep getting bigger vessels. Once you have enoght credits you can choose if you want to be a freelancer or corporation worker.. or something else.. you can join trading or mining factions as well.

It is usually we have a trader character to feed other characters' needs.

Like,

I have some Order chars and in order to compensate their financial needs, I also have a trader char that I do trading.

I have the most RP outcome from my Order chars but I trade a lot as well to get the money needed. Of course I rp on trader as well but its mainly for going from A to B to C to A and make 20-30 mil / hour.

Sadly, the factionized basis doesn't have a payment roll for security forces and similart thingy as they don't create an income.

and i dont think its right... each char suppose to have a way to self develop and sustain him/her self.
Like i said .. Job board which will be acceptable by admins as not bounty collecting but salaries for the job f protection (in your case Sirius from nomads) or liberty from Rhineland attacks and police from the robbers and criminals.

Well I have decided to join one of the Liberty Corporations. Namely: 'Universal Shipping'

What sort of ships can I use (What would be best)?
And whereabouts in the liberty area could I find one of their bases so I could bribe/grind rep.

Thanks again.
