Since I haven't seen Del on Skype, figured I'd post this for everyone to see.

Alberta is an interesting system with two bases. One, a Rogue base. The other, a new LPI installation by the Ontario jump hole, meant as the vanguard for expansion into the system. Alberta is also a mere two jumps away from Cassini's back door. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the Rogues would be pretty upset with the LPI knocking on the door of their guard system.
Simply put, I think this system has a lot of RP potential, and would like to develop it further. Ideas are welcome.

Wouldn't have to be terribly many people. It is an empty system, so I doubt the LPI would have a lot committed. The population of Red Deer Station is listed as 100 (to Fort McMurray's 600).
And the "RP opportunities" in Texas well... let's just say it was "//7v1 not fair"

Fair enough, but in the end it would involve navy and LNS and LSF...so basically it ends up who has the most caps. *shakes head*
How about a battle in mk I fighters...
Bloodhounds, wolfhounds, Mules, daggers
Patriots, star line ships, defenders...

Another one of those? Would be awesome, IMO. We did that a long time ago, though with the LH in Daggers. With no NPCs around and very little traffic through Alberta (particularly big ship that could mess it up), it could work real nice.

Indeed, and it wouldn't be too expensive on many levels heheee.
Let's say, you can set up your fighting ship but only for, say, 500 000 or 1mil
The sum of purchases must be SSed and posted to take participation.
And it covers all expenses, like mines, CDs, B/Bs and such. Hehe you can't even buy a full TCD load for 500 000....

Instead of 500,000 credits, I think a maximum allowed number of things would be best...
- Guns are not affected, get what you want in your faction (and civilian) line.
- Max shield class.
- Max armor class allowed is level 3.
- Max thruster is Advanced.
- Max mine is Tadpole
- Max CD is Wasp
- Max CM is Improved
EDIT: Talked to Joe, he suggested Tadpole mines and max armor level being 3. Then again, the armor is very debatable...

Mkay...what about the ship. LR bloodhound can be taken out by a starflyer...could we use the BW dagger maybe? or a wolfhound..

I'm saying we can balance it like regular events are. LPI can use Patriots and... Defenders doesn't quite fit, I think Hawks are a closer fit...
LR could use Bloodhounds and Wolfhounds. Personally, if I didn't lead the LPI I'd love to fly a LR Bloodhound (I just really like the ship despite its suckage), but I understand where you're coming from.

Hehe toeclipper was a mk8 bloodhound with all raphaels and a drail and a TCD and a javelin missile. You had to lol when a smuggler asked for my help and was so glad when i said yes. But when i said ill feed the bad man a javelin missile and that noone will get past my class 2 shield...
