  1. OVERVIEW (in-RP)

    Task Force Prometheus is a well organized and small but growing force who have taken up the banner of the Hellfire Legion in their struggle to restore the Commonwealth of House Liberty, a small nation in the independent worlds who styled themselves as an alternative to the Republic of Liberty. The Commonwealth was dissolved and its leaders detained, killed, or gone to ground following the absorption of the Hellfire Legion into the Liberty Insurgency. During this time, many citizens of the Commonwealth fled Vespucci and Kansas to Erie, still relatively free from the Republic. More still would flee when the Insurgency fell to the hands of the Delaware and Ohio battlegroups in 829 A.S, and the remnants of their once proud defenders in the Legion scattered to the winds as the Insurgency's command structure came apart.

    Almost half a decade later, these remnants now gather under a reunified leadership, unwilling to allow the Republic to continue unchecked in their continued conquest of Pennsylvania and the independent worlds, and determined to free their people from the camps established on Erie.


  2. OVERVIEW (OOC)

    In joining Prometheus, you'll effectively be flying for an unlawful military. We aren't pirates, we shoot those. We're separatists at war with the navy, so those get shot too. All in all, you'll be joining a faction where you're fighting both in and out of roleplay against the odds. This isn't for the thin skinned nor faint of heart, so consider whether you're up for the challenge before you put in your application.

    With that said, Prometheus will offer you roleplay and pvp opportunities not often found on the server. You'll receive real training, join experienced veterans and new players alike to roleplay and fight side-by-side with, and overall have the chance to be a part of something larger than yourself, both in and out of roleplay. If this style of play sounds right for you, then we encourage you proceed with your application following the steps below.


  3. CREATING A LEGIONNAIRE

    When joining Prometheus, you're first and foremost creating a character, a human being with motivations and history. Not just a ship with guns on it. As such, your app is expected to contain at least one full paragraph of 4-5 sentences explaining your character's background and motivations under the reason for enlisting section of the app template.

    To help with that, we've listed a few different backgrounds or features that TFP pilots might have in common. You can use these as inspiration or a starting point for your own creation:

  4. RECRUITMENT PROCESS & REQUIREMENTS


    1. ALL applicants must read the TFP faction information post, with special attention paid to the Faction Rules & Conventions.
    2. Prospective applicants must then fill out the questionnaire. Without having read the faction information post, it's unlikely that you'll be able to answer properly.
    3. Upon completion of the questionnaire, applicants will make their recruitment post in this thread using the Application Template provided below.

Reason for Enlisting: Liberty's shown their face on Erie, and it wasn't pretty. Guilty by association, blamed for a false flag operation they launched - or so the lads around hummed and whispered. It was untenable to stick around the planet but I'm just not going to stop being a thorn in their side.

"I used to work security for the shifts of delivery and maintenance to those satellites in Vespucci. The ones dat's supposed to keep an eye out for you guys. I always thought it was nasty what they had done to you guys. No trials, just bombing. I didn't like this none, but the Navy made it worse. Some boys at the office like to talk the talk. They say the government hides things, hides people even. Apparently, someone said or did something that alerted the LSF, and they sent some thugs in black suits to find out who done it. Then one day my coworker is missing, his office is cleaned out, and it's like he was never there. No warrant. No notice. Nothing. My foreman told me to run, maybe he knows what happened. I don't know, me. So now I'm here, and I want to fight with you guys. For freedom and for peace."

Professional Experience:I’m not a soldier. I never wore a uniform. But I was there when the broadcasts went dark and the streets filled with soldiers. I helped circulate banned pamphlets in Erie’s worker districts, rewrote half-truth headlines before they could be printed, and smuggled voice recordings from camp survivors to anyone willing to listen.

Since the Fall, I’ve lived in exile. I learned comms discipline from smugglers, rhetoric from desperation, and encryption from necessity. I’ve spent the last several years surviving on Freeports, bartering my voice and words to whoever had a transmitter worth stealing time on. I’ve written truth under false names. I’ve seen what silence costs.

Reason for Enlisting:Because I remember what Erie was before the silence. Before the camps. Before the ships filled the sky and the voices on the street fell quiet. I was just a girl when the Republic branded my home a threat, when neighbors vanished in the night and the news called it "stabilization." I wasn’t a soldier then. I’m not one now. But I’ve carried the weight of that silence every day since.

I’m not enlisting because I think I’m owed anything. I’m enlisting because the people of Erie are owed everything—and they’ve received nothing but barbed wire, propaganda, and the cold distance of a House that buried them for daring to dream different.
I don’t come here with firepower. I come with memory. I come with words sharpened into weapons, and a spine that never bent under exile. I come because I’ve lived in the dark long enough to know that Prometheus is the only flame left worth chasing.

You fight to restore a nation. I want to help remind people why it mattered in the first place.

Reason for Enlisting: Alyra, has been from a young age, dealt a bad hand. Born in the Industrial District ,to a rather nasty family, who took massive joy out of the misfortune of others, she soon had to adapt to survive. After doing the same dirty work her father was doing, she had in fact one day realized that this life was not for her. She did not love needless crime and to antagonize the good and hard working people of Liberty, in fact she actually wanted to protect them. She started to become and idealist, but since was quite young and afraid her ideals were only forming in her head. At the age of 16 she mustered the courage to tell her father all that she had built in her mind, which failed tragically and thus she became "Bloodshot" . She now has found about the Task Force Prometheus and decided that her place is somewhere else and it only made sense to try and come to you.
