Alright listen, this wasn't up to me but I'm doing it because orders-are-orders, and even though we might color outside the lines now, that doesn't mean that I suddenly disobey orders issued. What I mean to say is, the communication node at Ithaca is up and running. By some kind of black magic I don't understand, nor care to, you'll be able to log various things here. From pirating encounters to whatever else you want to log.

Log or don't, I don't really give a shit. My job is done.

We had an interesting encounter this evening at Baltimore Shipyard. We came out of the trade lane from Newark and came upon a Hel PLF cruiser engaging a DSE gunboat and LPI heavy fighter. Unsurprisingly, the DSE and Police fighter disengaged and fled the area do to being able to take down the cruiser. When they departed, we spoke briefly to the captain of the PLF, named the Barbarian shortly before the Akhetaten showed up.

An impressive ship to be sure. The Liberty Navy has a certain style, but this ship bristled with offensive weaponry. No way in hell our Grendel Frigate would be able to stand up to her strength. The captain, Brown, and I spoke for a while. The PLF captain, who had drunk a copious amount of alcohol by this point, continued to try to goad the ship into a fight with us. However, the captain remained resolute and did not take the bait...we wouldn't have survived the encounter anyway. I must admit, Brown impressed me. Despite us being on opposite sides now, they were a true and respectable captain...it pains me that they are at the beck and call of one of the House governments...those governments who care not for our lives and see us only as a number.

We spoke and parted ways at the end of the evening without any weapons fire. I hope that I got through to them in the end. No doubt the brainwashing that the government puts them through have blinded them...but there is hope that they will one day see the truth.

We performed an operation this evening from the shithole of Halifax Freeport in Leeds. Just looking at the trash floating around makes me realize exactly how little fucks Bretonians give about their appearance. Whatever, anyway...

We ran into a spook right as we came out of the nebula where Halifax is located talking to a rather...ehm...crazy individual blathering on about BIS going through his trash, accusing him of various things. Well, we'd planned on finding some people to tax tonight but to our surprise this spook wanted to talk to us. We talked for a while, the agent doing his best to pretend not to be an agent despite him clearly still being one. It was obvious he was trying to get information out of us. I was about to feed him a bullshit story when a CDI policeman showed up, and then a second. They looked like they were going to attack us when a Gaul showed up of all things.

After some verbal jousting back and forth, the spook got tired of it and decided to attack. Mr. Steiner, the spook, lasted a while but was ultimately destroyed by the Gaul with the Gaul dying shortly after to the CDI forces. I had to pay the bastard flying the Eviscerate 10,000 credits because the Gaul killed Steiner but refused to give me my money back when the CDI I'd bet on had won.

Fucking prick. Gonna suffocate him tonight.

Supposed to be getting a message from the Zoner that was out there. Penicillin I think their ship name was? Ms. Saito or some such? I dunno. They offered us medical supplies and I agreed to it. Just hope the boss isn't pissed at me for making a deal without their approval. One Zoner shouldn't be a problem.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Banished Legion, this is Graves speaking. I'm writing this message as a notice to all deployed Legion taskings in Sirius. There has been a sudden and recent explosion of Slog transportation into the Liberty systems as of the past few days. Your orders are as follows from the Commander:

Intercept any and all transports into Liberty space carrying the drug known as 'Slog'. They are not to reach civilized space. Do not allow this toxic drug to harm those we once swore to protect. It goes without saying that any Legion captains or crew found to be consuming the drug will not have a good time. I suggest you not test me on this matter.

It would seem some Corsairs are interested in hiring us.

Now I don't have all of the information but it would seem like they want us to go after their fellow Corsairs for one reason or another. The Commander sees this as an opportunity to make some credits and weaken the pirate nation all in one fail swoop.

In other news, it seems like a new route into deeper Omegas systems was located recently. Omega-41 is one of the entry points but there is no gaurntee there aren't other routes in there. We stopped a fella last night hauling a rare mineral we've never seen before so there might be money to be made. Keep an eye out and report any other oddities coming out of there that we can swipe to pawn on the black market for some credits. No doubt explorers coming out of there will have some nice trinkets to liberate. Don't be a dick though and take all of their stuff--if they cooperate with you, just take a few of the items that we can use to put feelers out to prospective buyers. I have no doubt we'll run into some corporate stooges that try to attack us or run from us at some point and we'll be able to take their entire haul to resell somewhere.

I entered these "Deep Omegas" from Omega-41 last night but was disappointed. Nothing to see there but the same weird ships from Omega-41 and another Neutron Star. I found a few wrecks but nothing with anything interesting--most had already been looted. I found another jump hole into a system named Omega-2 or something but with how useless this Omega-43 was, I didn't bother.

I came back to Omega-41 to find a Bowex transport. Dumbass tried to run but as I was priming my weapons to turn him into debris, he stopped, called me a little boy, and gave me 50k more credits than I asked for. Quite nice of him really. Haha!

Well, anyway, I've returned back to Freeport 6 for now. I'm not a fan of the Zoners here but whatever, a place to sleep is a place to sleep. I'll find some shit to do in the morning. Omega-41 seems as good of a place as any to pirate some unsuspecting transports--with the Iridium and Gold route running right through here, might be a good place to setup shop until the transport captains catch on.
