Bristol Constructions & Manufacturing
Shackleton Operations Group

Overview

Shackleton Operations Group, founded in 834 AS on Bristol Bay Station by Hector Booth as a subsidiary company of Bristol Constructions & Manufacturing, is a small quasi-legal organization with the official mandate of long-range operations in support of Bristol economic expeditions, finding new sources of profit where there previously was not.

In reality, Shackleton was founded with the express, direct goal of expanding operational independence of its own members, the organization as a whole, and Bristol Constructions & Manufacturing as a whole. This goal is seen as not political per-say, but economic and practicable; they view independence of operation within a political entity’s sphere of influence as just as acceptable as complete independence from any entity. Through this, Shackleton aims to acquire the ability to act as Freeport agents, conducting business with whatever groups as they may wish, and enforcing Bristol laws where they control.

With the recent election of Esme Blake to the role of Chief of Operations - effectively the lead member of the Bristol Board - Shackleton has begun to enact its operations throughout Bristol Constructions & Manufacturing as a whole.

Shackleton Operations Group agents generally are sourced from across the Houses and beyond, with a large number drawn from Zoners.

Operations

Operation Clock Strike
Vespucci Origin - Vespucci Termination - Booth, Hector / Blake, Esme
The attempted restoration of station Veracruz Munitions in the Vespucci System, Operation Clock Strike suffered consistent setbacks due to internal system failures. Station operational capability would be limited to the control station and hangar facilities only with intermittent failures of gravity and oxygen. Internal damage would prevent the majority of the extensive internal components coming online, as well as limiting Bristol personnel from performing full inspections of the reactor systems onboard.

Operation Clock Strike would be declared a failure following a reactor breach and stationwide radiation contamination. Veracruz Munitions would be destroyed in the following months due to system failures.
Operation Have Sea
Vespucci Origin - Bering Termination - Booth, Hector
The reclamation and repair of a damaged Judicator, executed by the Bristol vessel Powhatan, Have Sea would see the vessel’s crew remains offloaded by the independent vessel Eryri while ad-hoc repairs would be given to the reactor and drive systems. The vessel would be transited through the Omegas and into Rheinland, ending at Pacifica Station.

As a direct result, with the coordination of Mr Booth, the Rheinland Government, and the Unioners under Director Hollywood, Have Sea was a full success with the Judicator coming into near-full operational capability. The vessel would be commissioned under the Bristol flag as the Endeavor, stationed in Galileo to act as a guard ship for Bristol C&M interests in the system.
