Core Revival Initiative - JohnKnight - 12-24-2024
A few of us would like to try to revive Core, and the one who is leading this effort is Lock. His forum is @Hitman-76 and a lot of you would know him in game as WV-Lockdown. We have a few people already onboard with this, along with the incite of the original Core leader. Lock does have a lot of ideas on what to turn this new faction to be, along with Tag and history for this group. In what way do you want to revive The Core? Brand new faction? Refurbish the old OF?
EDIT: The mention of an "old tag and history" leads me to believe you want to do something with Core|.

WV-Lockdown is under a new initiative and my RP will be changed to accommodate this. Character is still the same but need to write a biography etc. Force! is dead (and Core|) but this new faction will cover for anyone willing to play as Core once again. Point is, the same principles that make up Core will roughly still be the same, but in a new form of organization to satisfy all forms of play within Core.
The discord is getting organized, roles are being made, and 2IC and 3IC spots are open depending on the RP/faction role they wish to fulfil. Information page, recruitment, comms, etc. are all being worked on as well as the new system Core will go by.

We did try to see if we could take over the OF, but they said no and to just start a new one. They pretty much made it seem that they have no interest on having OF Core come back even under new management. but @Hitman-76 has everything figured out, I am here to provide aid when he needs.

Sometimes it's best to leave a dead horse instead of beating it and zapping it with a defibrillator just to beat it again. But if y'all are interested in playing - by all means. Just saying that it's not going to be good for you.

If you're making a new faction, I say, cool. Having the energy and dynamism that comes with forming a new idea, instead of acting out of obligation to some tag's legacy or to the community to make sure there's "at least one active player faction of xyz", is the better mental starting place for making your Core faction grow into something cool and fun for people to engage with.

If there was interest in playing Core, there would still be a player faction. APM is based, but mechanically, everything they do, someone else in the Omicrons does better.
